I recently returned a contemporary snorkel with annoying check valves top and bottom. The bottom check valve let in water making me gasp and sputter, while the springy accordion like mouthpiece tube kept popping out of my mouth. And if that wasn't enough, the upper check valves restricted air flow when surfaced, making it hard to breathe! That newfangled contraption was strictly for the birds!So, I chose this Cressi snorkel, going back to the simple candy cane-shaped snorkel of my youth -- no valves or moving parts. It works PERFECTLY with no problems and allows for easy breathing. Very good price too, and works well with my also old-school oval dive mask. The long slot allows for up & down movement across the mask strap to automatically ensure optimum placement of the mouthpiece.When surfacing, one only has to blow the slug of water out of the tube to clear it, and with luck, wet someone in a rowboat! ðŸ˜

It does the trick, I do cold plunges and like to submerge my head in the ice cold water, this does the trick. It's a cheap item, it's not gonna do what a higher priced snorkel will, but it doesn't leak and it fits so it's good enough for me

No leaking and no worry about it detaching from your mask. Works as well - actually better - than many of the more expensive snorkels, does not leak! :-). I have it attached to a different brand mask, no big deal.

Make sure you are buying the right size! If the size says mini-island, then it smaller and designed for kids. If it just says island, then it is a full sized snorkel.The snorkel itself is very basic, there are no valves that can get stuck or leak or clog. It is just a simple tube, no splash guard either. The pink one is nice and bold in colour and allows for other divers / snorkelers to see you. Not a big fan of the integrated snorkel keeper because it is just too large and the mask strap slips around.

Abbastanza comodo,ma nel mio caso con viso piccolo le regolazioni non sono efficaci. L'asola di fissaggio sul cinghiolo della maschera è un po' troppo in alto quindi indossandolo, il boccaglio viene spinto verso il basso.

Excelente artÃculo. Es mi primer snorkel y lo disfruté bastante en la Riviera Maya. No cuenta con válvula que evita que le entre agua, por lo que cuando salgas a la superficie es necesario soplar para sacar el agua. Es fácil de usar una vez que te acostumbras o si tienes experiencia nadando. Buena relación costo beneficio.
