This is a great kit for a beginner, but I don’t recommend it for a kid. The crochet needle is very small for a child and the instructions aren’t very descriptive for a beginner.

This kit is very complicated and the crochet hook and yarn are very tiny, not learner friendly. It looks like the little animals would be adorable, but maybe for an experienced crocheter. I brought it to my granddaughter for a Christmas present, but because I bought it early and missed the window of opportunity for returns I can’t return it so I will pass it on to somebody who can use it.

The yarn isn’t great. The hook is so small it’s difficult to use. Don’t like having to go on line for instructions. Will teach my daughter myself and use decent yarn, etc.

The QR code for “beginners†doesn’t work. While the supplies appear nice, we bought the kit so my daughter could learn and the videos were a selling point for us. However, we have tried on different devices to open videos with the QR code and it doesn’t work.
