I will start by saying I know nothing about violins. Ordered this for my 4th grader for his school violin:1) it fits perfectly for his 4/4 violin2) 3 carry options which is great for a school age kid. ( handle, backpack or over the shoulder)4 every thing he needs for school fits in it.It seems sturdy and the inside seems soft so no damage would occur if/when they drop it.

It is totally different than a normal violin case. Very functional for a young student.

Build quality is nice, and seems like it would be pretty water resistant. I am not ordering any more as the pocket in the front isn't big enough for a typical 4/4 size shoulder rest. You would need to put it beside the peg head, not a fan of anything coming in contact with the instrument.

I just purchased a new Yamaha (YEV105) electric violin and it wouldn't fit in my acoustic violin case. I was worried I'd have to chinger this new case to fit but I didn't have to. My new violin fit perfectly! Now my acoustic violin is jealous so I will have to buy another one. My only issue is that there are not a lot of spaces for storage. But it definitely does the job and keeps my new baby safe.

Dimensions work for a Steinberger GT-Pro. Had to perform some surgery on the foam for the repurposing. All in all way better protection than the factory gig bag.

I have nothing negative to say about this case. I have a very valuable violin do protection of it was primary. ABS material provides the greatest protection - and this crossrock case is also very cool looking. I got the blue and it’s a gorgeous ‘formal blue.’ It’s already protected my violin numerous times as I ride the bus and get bounced around …I haven’t noticed where it’s been scratching up on the outside —when it really should have by now with all the bouncing around but it’s held up perfectly —not a scratch! As a concert violinist I travel A LOT —planes, trains, boats, buses, in and out of Ubers and taxis and my violin always comes with me everywhere! I feel quite confident in this case and I highly recommend. I list a favourite violin in a car accident that was in one of those fashionable high end violin cases - my violin was crushed —but I also had guitars in ABS —not a scratch! In fact the ABS guitar cases saved my life by preventing me from being crushed in the accident because they were like a blockade! Highly recommend! I wouldn’t put my violin in anything but ABS! Also ABS cases hold the violin different - they keep your violin from moving and keep everything snug tight whereas a lot of these other trendy cases hold it by “suspensionâ€. I would never again put my violin in a case like that! Shipping was quick and arrived well packaged. A+++

I give it 4 stars because it serves it's purpose well and it's cute, however if you're buying for a kid or teenager like I did, just know that it's heavy!
