Very good grommet. Very, very tight fit when putting the roll over valve in it. Be careful not to drop it in the fuel pump. If you do the fuel tank will have to come out on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 LWB.

I had a gas leak on my Jeep gas tank. I took it out several times thinking either the sending unit was leaking or possibly the filler hoses. I finally found that the vent valve rubber grommets were dried and shrank enough they would allow gas to leak out when on a steep incline or just driving when the tank was full. When I replaced these and I could no longer spin the grommet in the tank once the vent valve was installed. We went off-roading at the state park and no leaks! Would definitely buy again. These were hard for me to find, I'm glad they popped up in a add "you might be interested in"

I have a 97 4x4 5.7Lv8 magnum engine dodge ram 1500. It was fit on the fuel canister BUT the inner circumference was smaller for the roll over valve to fit, and it was a Mf b*** to put on had to use gorilla strength it force fit it on the canister but it did work but not with out a fight and it was not the correct size

I needed a new seal because the old seals were leaking and would not pass the Evap pressure test in California. After installing I had no problems with the evap test!

Works for a '96 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.9 magnum v8. It should work for all gas 2nd gens. Don't know if diesel is different, maybe not.

This is a small price to pay for something that could leak gas. two are required to finish the gastank rebuild on a Jeep Cherokee XJ. First you slide it in using a small amount of sealer in the rubber groove. Then press in the Check Valve till it bottoms out. 3 minutes will make a good leakproof assembly Paul
