Stones were attractive and mostly easy to identify with the chart printed on the inside of the lid. It was a nice advent calendar and we looked forward to finding our next stone. Most were cut nicely into square shapes and well polished; easy to use as gameboard tokens or set on a shelf.

My grown son is thoroughly enjoying this calendar. It does show you all the rocks that are in it, but they are not in order of the calendar. It’s fun to match them to the description and picture on the box. I recommend this for any age “rock hound.†I bought a more expensive one with a cute box for another friend, but this one was perfect for my son as well as inexpensive on Black Friday.

Got this for our 8 year old son, and he has been enjoying it a lot! He has fun digging out the stones and checking the chart to see what he got! Fun calendar!

The advent calendar doors were horrifically difficult to open (I gave up and opened the side and slid the gems out) but the gems were amazing quality and all were there and as described.The best part about this was that there was actual variety when compared to most all other calendars and gemstone packs around. All the others have the same 10-20 gems so finding that this mix of gems was a breath of fresh air. The Charoite is my new favorite gem of all time and the Labradorite is actually very good quality than others I have gotten in other mixes, and has actual Labradorite colors rather than being a black rock that is sort of maybe a little bit Labradory. Also they are No lies about what gems you are getting; What they say you will get is what you get, unlike a lot of other mixes.I am in love! (with the gems not the advent doors). Please make the doors easier to open. The doors are the reason of the 4 stars. If the doors were an acceptable level of opening then this would be the easiest 5 stars.

This is tiny. I assume the rocks will be tiny as well. I guess you get what you pay for. It was the only advent calender that would come in time to begin opening it on Dec 1st. (I ordered it a week and a half before the end of the month)That being said, my 5yo loves rocks and will love it even if the rocks are tiny.

Some stones are little different color variations than the key. Polished and lovely. Nice option for child interested in minerals.

Great advent calendar, my 12 year old loves it Each day he gets a new rock, gets to try to match it up to the list. it takes a good 2-5 minutes to get into the rock so its a bit of extra work and makes the entertainment last more than 20 seconds when opening each day until Xmas, the rocks are a good size and the tools work good.
