Exactly what I was looking for. I bought large as I am large (36 waist). I wanted a lightweight short for hiking and maybe swimming in. These work a charm. Lots of pockets that zip up so you don't loose your, stuff. I like em. One thing is they are super casual, like sporty looking. Maybe not best for formal occasions. You wouldn't wear them to a wedding or anything. Although I wouldn't put it past some of my cousins. There's also a reflective lettering on the left side above the side pocket that says OUTDOOR. Well at least on my pair it does. The pictures don't show that. Sometimes I feel rather silly sitting inside with these on as they are clearly for outdoor. (it says so).

I have been using these shorts for work and they feel great. However they, in my opinion are not good for working in a tough situation. They feel great, super lightweight and great at the moisture wicking, but the threads are releasing and coming apart only after 2 months. Maybe if the thread or stitching was better of different they would be amazing work shorts.

I read a bunch of reviews that almost turned me away from these shorts. But after wearing them for two weeks off and on I have no issues. The seams are holding up well so far. The front pockets are a little shallow yes, but I haven't lost anything out of the pockets. Buy these shorts if you want light weight low maintenance, cool and like swim trunk material, but just a little heavier material than swimming trunks.

These are some of my favorite shorts I have now. The color hasn't faded and they seem to be holding up well.
