This specialty tool did not work for me. In fact it destroyed the fitting, requiring the hose to be replaced ($100). I was also told later, by my Mini mechanic, that he had never had any luck with this type of tool. Your milage may vary...

Tried using it on a 2011 MINI Cooper and the way the high-pressure pump is situated it doesn't leave enough room to slip this around the fitting. I have no doubt it works on that style fitting but didn't work for me.

Stupid thing broke as I tightened. Fuel line would not release so I attempted to tighten more then it broke. Was completely useless. Flat head screwdriver worked better.

It is so thick and will not fit in. The high pressure line is very close to the low pressure line. Buy bmw genuine tool.

Watched a few videos, but still could not get it to work and on some Minis it is to big to get on the fitting

I have worked on many coopers, but it was the first time to replace the high pressure pump. Juggling this tool around with one hand to release the fuel line close to bottom of the firewall almost made me postal. Old school Ford metal fuel filter tool works better at this location. I ended up replacing the fuel line because I could not get the fuel line off the hp-pump without damaging it...... oh well...

Couldn't get it to work, ended up breaking the thumb screw. Bought a pair of fuel line pliers, they did the trick
