Went from a Toyota Tundra to a Ram 2500, didn't want to use a 2 to 2 1/2" adapter and needed a little more drop for my Equalizer weight distribution hitch. Equalizer wants close to $300 for a shank, figure I would try this one for half the price. Fits well, a little slop in it, but no more than my Equalizer on the Tundra.

Bought this to drop my blue ox weight distributing hitch lower after going from a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton. Some reviews claimed a lot of slop. This has way less slop than my blue ox shank did in my old truck and I never had an issue with it. This is very well built. My only complaint is I can no longer open my tailgate without it hitting the camper jack. My old blue ox it cleared.

Very heavy duty, perfect fit and design, and drops downs to what I need. I have a 2019 ram that sits higher than my old 1500 and it works perfect.

Would not fit into 2.5 inch receiver on two Ram 2500s. Had to have the edges canferred by a machine shop. Purchased from Hitchweb whom were very helpful. They contacted CURT whom never responded back. So rather than go through the whole exchange process and possibly recieve another shank with the same issue, I opted to modify the unit in order to fit and invalidate the warranty. The shank appears to be a very sturdy unit rated for 15k gross trailer and 1.5k tongue weight.
