Curt makes some good products, got this due to getting a new camper definitely an upgrade from my old system, kept my truck and camper leveled and ZERO sway at 65MPH on the highway with 18wheelers passing me, it does pop when turning but that’s normal, easy to use perfect for towing your rig!.

I've been using this on my 3500 lbs single axle travel trailer for over a year now, and it works awesome. The sway control is a huge help, especially because the single axle trailer would sway a lot while driving. With this system attached, it is so much better, I could not be happier! I keep it lubed up with a few shots of grease here and there, which is easy to do with the lube zerks, and I just use a finger to physically put a little grease on the metal ball detents. It was easy enough to install (took me about an hour) and is higher off the ground than the other chain models. This makes it very easy to get in and out of the driveway without scrapping the ground. With this system, the low spot for ground clearance is the actual part that hooks up into the back of your truck, so if your truck is low on ground clearance from the back, you might have trouble getting in and out of the driveway. For me, this was an all in one awesome purchase (sway control, weight distribution, bobbing control) and I would buy it all over again.The only thing I will say is this looks to be a bit of a lighter duty system than most others. This is fine for me, as my trailer is only 3500 lbs. Keep this in mind before purchasing. If you have a heavy duty trailer, buy a heavy duty system. If you're anywhere close to the 10,000 lbs weight limit it states, go up and get a heavier duty one. This is a good rule of thumb for just about anything with towing. This would also explain why some of these other idiot reviewers broke their systems. That and don't do a 90 degree turn with this on ur rig. If you need to do some crazy maneuvers, just remove the bars and put them back on after (it only takes a couple minutes).UPDATE: It’s 2022 and still going strong. Last year I even sold my single axle 3500 lbs trailer and now have a 6500 lbs double axle trailer. Everything still works like the day I bought it. New trailer is higher off the ground so I flipped the L-bracket and installed myself again. Curt just makes great products.

It’s easier to install than I thought it’d be and it reduces trailer sway noticeably well. It’s heavy, though, so taking the hitch on and off can be difficult.

Using this on my setup. A 24x8.5 enclosed trailer loaded with a car and toolbox setup. Using a 6.2 at4 to tow. Helped level my truck/trailer with the adjustable shank. The one I have in this picture is 17120. Got caught in a pretty serious storm and really think the sway control helped everything going straight. I also added bags to the truck to help get a little more level

I did the install on my 2001 dodge 2500 ram yesterday. The install video was a big help and helped to make sense of the process.It works Awesome! The difference in before and after install was unbelievable to. Sway was non existent. Weight felt distributed evenly. I highly recommend it.

I tow quite a bit, and usually very heavy. Have never had problems with curt products in the past, but I suppose there is a first for everything. The trunnion bars were superficially damaged before I even opened the package.. (thankfully they actually made it). The thin styrofoam broke where they were sitting, as a result they destroyed the box would not stay inside. The fedex guy brought me the bars separately himself.Once opened, it appeared the entire assembly had been damaged in shipping and slightly bent.. but upon further inspection.. it had dents on the underside where the styrofoam should’ve been protecting it.. so I was very confused. Almost as if this thing had been previously used and then shipped back out again (ball was clean, however).At this point I should’ve returned it but I needed to use it that weekend to pick up a trailer.. and amazon didnt have a return button.. so I decided to use it anyways.After only one use I decided an adjustment was necessary so I proceeded to remove the massive bolt and nylon locking nut on the hitch... well the top bolt decided to cross thread and destroy itself. No power tools were involved, hand tools only.Another side note.. only having used this hitch for a hundred miles or so, I can see that the trunnion bars are subject to so much friction that I can almost guarantee they will be needing replaced every few thousand miles. The wear is so bad that burrs have started to form on the bars, making them sharp and potentially dangerous to grab.So rather than return this enter hitch like I should’ve, it’s just sitting in my garage now.. useless until I decide to source some replacement parts of my own.

The Hummer was marginal. The hitch made all the difference and still retained the surge brakes. Got the front end back down and lifted the rear of the vehicle.Bouncing is gone. Nose dive when braking is gone.Tail wagging the dog is gone. It was white knuckleWithout the hitch but now it is doable. Just feels so much better. This picture was not the final adjustment as the spring bars were not parallel with the trailer railsBut they are now. The adjusting bolts ( not multiple washers) are a huge plus. Well built….. it is heavy. I am gonna say that twice. It is heavy. This thing adds between 80 to 100 pounds behind the rear axle. I am glad I got the beefier hitch. 800 to 1000 tongue weight. I had to use a pole tongue adapter as well.

I previously used a traditional equalizer hitch on my trailer. Unfortunately the trailer had lots of sway from winds and passing larger trucks on the highway. Switched to the trutrack and the difference is huge. Eliminates almost all the sway and tows very solid and straight. I tow my holiday trailer through everything from open prairies to the mountains. Highly recommend this product.

It is a good product but you need large sockets that ended up costing me around 100 bucks for 2 sockets. The sockets are not a normal size that would be in a regular sock set. Also, the ball was not on and needs to be torqued on. It should come pre torqued.

Great product. Already used it towing our RV in cross wind conditions and as promised it really reduced the sway. Select centering with easy online instructions from Curt for installation.
