Putting in a new walk in shower. Opened it up and doesn't have much smell but I did vent the room to be safe. Painted it on and used fiber strips on gaps, corners, and indentations. Tossed some water on it after it set and it beaded up. Seemed to be water repellent. Good enough for me to finish the install.

Seriously this stuff is the best waterproofing membrane for showers and tiles. I did the schluter system at my last house and it was a pain the ass. This is 100x easier and i'd say more effective as you can easily see if theres a weak spot, whereas with these schlueter you just hope it sealed properly with the thinset.This is also WAY more affordable than a schluter system. Seriously, I only recommend this to people now, its amazing!watch some youtube videos of how good it is.Double up your thickness in the corners and Bobs your uncle (he probably isn't, but you know what i mean).

This product performed better than expected, water sealing our shower and recessed shelves with ease. It made the job easy and the final result is fabulous. If water gets through this, it will be a miracle! Once dry, it seems similar to the plastic dip used on electrician's tools. Great stuff!

Love the product and how easy it applies! Make sure you wear clothes that you don’t care about because it will stain them but is easily removed from skin!

If you have concerns about water leaks pay the price problem solved........ OH yes use the membrane

We have used this product a couple of times and it amazing. It goes on really well and dries fast. A great way to really feel confident that your walls are waterproof before tiling.

The RedGard was directly applied on sloping floor for shower. Applied three coats per the instructions directly to plywood/wood. Used QuARTz linear grate and the membrane adhered well to the plastic edges of the grate housing. Used a light to check for cracks and weak spots and they were easy to touch-up.Used a quality thinset for the tile and the appearance is fantastic.The membrane is holding up well after two months.

This product was unuseable......it had hardened up and appeared to be very old.
