Purchased this to replace my worn out Pelican 1650 foam. It is a tight fit but works well. I love the fact that the perforated area of the foam is not easily torn so it is harder for moving parts to break off the foam.

The foam had to be trimmed to fit in the case. Once I did that though, it worked well.

This foam does feel a little different than the original pelican foam, but not lower quality. I would choose this foam every time over the original pelican foam because the 4 smaller layers gives you WAY MORE options for customization than Pelican's 2 big layers, and the quality is excellent. The fit of the foam in the case is perfect and snug.
