My son really likes axolotls but everything is geared towards girls. This was the closest we could find that didn’t seem gender specific. The pen broke with first use so that was disappointing but the rest of it is still holding strong.

My daughter loves axolotls. She's 8 years old and likes that she has a diary that has a lock and key. Itis furry and so she just likes to hold it and pet it. I like that it makes her feel grown and more independent. She isn't a big fan of the pen only because she really feels more comfortable using a pencil. The coin purse is also a win. She has plans on keeping it inside her bookbag. It's also fun to have stickers and letters to play with and personalize. The axolotl stress ball is a little out of place because it looks nothing like the rest of the set. Regardless, it is an axolotl and my daughter loves it. The price is set at $18.99. I find that to be agreeable since you don't commonly find axolotl merch on the store shelves. It's a great gift for axolotl fans.

This set is extremely adorable! A big hit with my daughter! It was a bit bigger than I expected which was great! The set is extremely soft, and extremely cute! My daughter isn’t a big fan of journals and what not, but this set was right up her alley. It helped to get her writing more, as she wanted to use it because it is so adorable. Which is great because it’s a good way for her to express her emotions, and draw in because she loves art. The stress ball is the only part that I thought would be bigger, but it’s kind of small. That’s alright because it’s was for my child. Definitely one of the best journal sets I have ordered.

This is so cute product. Got it for my 10 year old and she loves it. It came with a nice journal that she can lock and keep people out, it had a bunch of stickers, a nice little purse for her to keep her key or whatever she wants to put in it.The pen that came with it is adorable all around, it has an axolotol for a topper and it's just as fuzzy as the journal and purse.There are also a few other little trinkets that come with it. Just overall a very nice product for the price.
