I was able to install it super easily on my daughter's bike. She loved it. It is loud enough to be heard but not irritating in any way, which helps her get attention from all the runners and walkers around.

This is the second one of these bells that we have ordered for our bikes. We like it as it is loud but is also small & doesn’t take up much room on the handlebars.

I'm not kidding. This bell is so loud and has such a shrill, high frequency sound that it made my dog - who is a passenger when I ride, flinch and cry out. No other bell has ever come close to bothering her. She absolutely cannot tolerate this. As for me and my human riding buddy, it made our ears ring. I don't need a bell that inflicts pain. I just need a bell to let someone know I'm about to pass them. I'm returning this one.UPDATE: OK, so I was wrong. When it arrived, I tried it inside and it was so loud and so shrill it was painful for my dog and me. BUT ... when I attached it to my bike and tried it in the great outdoors, it was perfect. A good loud sound that other bikers and hikers can hear, but not ear-piercing like I thought it would be. I kept it and instead returned the wimpier one I'd gotten to try. Ding ding!

Measure your handlebars, it should be 0.8 - 0.9 in (no more). They claim standard 1in but the bell on a 1-inch handlebar doesn't make a sound. The reason is a terrible design of a mounting part. A little plastic thing that keeps a string touches the bell and it doesn't make a sound. Very hard to install, I spent about 20 minutes fixing the issue.

This is a great item for the $. It was easy to put on my bike. I was concerned because there's not a lot of room but it fit without taking up a lot of space. The sound is nice and loud and crystal clear. It's a good buy.

It does the job. Loud enough. Easy to install. So far no problem in the rain. Has not rusted. Satisfied.

The easy install and sharp sound make this a must for any biker. The small footprint is great too. The sound is sharp and easy to hear over other sounds and is easier to operate with one hand than other types of bells. I bought one and then another for my biking buddy!
