I used this set to fix my wife's 2012 honda pilot. We have killed 3 alternators in the last 3 years because the gaskets were bad and we didn't replace them. I've seen on YouTube that others recommend reusing your old mesh screen with the new gasket because the new ones allow too much oil thru and it will throw a check engine code. Upon inspection of the new and old mesh screen I do recommend reusing the old mesh screen. Just pull it out of the old gasket and try to be nice and put it in the new one. I cleaned the area after I finished the install and I no longer see a leak or smell burning oil...and we got vtec again, no more loss of power. Honestly it feels like a new car. I will update if anything changes but as of right now everything worked out great and I highly recommend if you need a replacement. P.S. Don't over tighten when putting it back together. You want it tight just now gorilla mode.

Failed after just 3 months. That's not nearly long enough to justify the cost differential of buying a genuine Honda gasket from eBay. Don't get me wrong, these gaskets fit fine. But for whatever reason even with torquing to spec and following all installation instructions the set I ordered and installed failed after only 3 months. Buy OEM.

The Honda J35 engines are notorious for these seals at the VVC housing to leak oil, which then runs down the engine head and onto the alternator eventually causing it to fail. Honda even has a Service Bulletin out addressing this problem. Keep an eye out for oil leakage near the base of the engine oil dipstick tube.

No leaks and everything fit as it should. I will advise you to swap out the screen for the factory screen since it’s a smaller mesh to avoid any pressure differences. Outside of that, the part was as expected.

I bought this item on May 22nd and installed the day I received it. As of August 9th at least one of the seals has failed already. I am just going to pull the trigger and replace with OEM since those at least made it 12 years on the initial set.

Glad I was able to use these gaskets versus buying the whole assembly , one thing I did to in order to avoid getting trouble codes , was replace the filter with the original OEM filter as I read that in a forum somewhere , easy to change out

Three months ago an alternator was replaced because of leaking original vtt gasket. Along with the alternator these gasket set was installed. Gaskets destructed and fall apart causing stream leak of oil. Do not recommend these gasket set. Honda odyssey 2013.
