Go larger then your actual goal. This didn't fit my 6 by 12 goal but I made it work. The quality didn't seem too good, I am sure it wont last. But for the price it works for now.

Off-label use: I needed a net for the peas in my garden to climb! It should work well.The knots are well made; the cord is thick and soft; the grid spacing is regular and uniform.Oh, and probably will work to stop a soccer ball (at least if there are strong goal posts added).
