Nothing could be easier: tear or cut a few pieces of Decopatch paper of about 2x2 cm - Apply the glue to the support. I failed to look at dimensions. The photo looked like a full size cat… my fault for not reading carefully. It’s tiny.

This item arrived damaged and please note that the dimensions are in cm not inches. I was expecting something larger. It is of good quality. I believe the company must make them by hand and imperfections might go along with the process. My child loved paining it as a project and if you enjoy eco friendly crafts this might be the item for you.

Stated sizing is 11 cm, not 11 inches, as I expected. This was my fault, for not reading more carefully. Otherwise, well made, no damage, and seems sturdy for planned decoupage art project.
