My son has been using Rico reeds since he started playing the clarinet, 5 years ago. I tried to cheap out once, and bought a different brand. Nope. I had to immediately order more of these. His music teacher recommends this brand, and he loves them

They shipped fast, and reeds are good. But the reeds we received were open and packing box was torn, not sure that are used or new but just open, so disappointed. Have to use alcohol wipes to clean. Not recommend.

You can scrape by in your first year with these, but only just.Then its time to find something that has some actual quality control.Horrifically inconsistent reeds.Playable? Yes. Of any quality? No.Sure intermediates and masters can probably force these to sound okay, but at that level you aren't buying Rico without knowing what you're getting anyway.

these are great for biggining clarinet students........work well and in a larg enough package (25) so you don't run out]
