They have a nicer, richer sound. My daughter doesn’t like it because it sounds different than the cheaper ones I bought before. But they are really nice. Definitely a step up and improved sound.

The Ascente string is wonderful and sounds absolutely brilliant during the first two weeks, but its quality begins to fade more quickly than the Helicore strings.

My son decided he wanted to switch from violin to viola. This string was exactly what we needed for his 1/4 size violin to become his viola. Good quality, easy to put on. Definitely would recommend

I was given a set of Ascente violin strings as part of a beta test and have been extremely pleased with the tone quality and pitch stability of these strings, particularly considering the low cost. These strings sound better and are more resonant on my violin than any of the higher end ($100 +) strings that I’ve tried. I have bought sets for both of my son’s violas and been very pleased with the projection and tone quality on their instruments, as well. Best strings on the market for the price point!!!

These are good strings. I'm guessing D'addario are basically making an entry level version of Dominants. They have a nice warm non-aggressive sound. Kinda similar to the ProArtes but the string diameter seems thinner.

Very good set of strings for the viola, very even response across all 4 strings, high A has a good tone, not screechy, these are lively and toneful, a good choice for an economic string.
