I was very pleased the first time I purchased this set. It was not the same experience the second time I ordered them. The strings are not wound properly, they need to be wound much tighter around the core. When the three nylon strings get put under tension, the eyelet splits the outer winding and makes contact with the core and this makes the string not sound bright. The metals tend to have a buzzing sound also from the winding being loose (I had that problem with the A string). A good way to check is tuning the string then run you nail along the string. If the sound is crisp, your good, if not the sound will have a buzz. If you get a good set though, you will be pleased. Good sound, and the balance between metals and nylons is perfect.

Went to string up the guitarrón and the E string unraveled. I’m very disappointed.Edit:I contacted manufacturer and they sent out a replacement set. Same issue happened to me. Same string, same place. First photo is the first set and the second photo is the second set.

The first time I purchased this set it was extremely solid, I recommended this product to a few fellow guitarroneros because I loved it and when a friend of mine sent me a picture of his C string wanting to pop I thought he had just bad luck, BUT now that I ordered my second set I ran into the same luck as he did. The strings may be defective, as they might unravel while putting them on. I had to buy a second pack because 2 strings from the first pack unraveled. They also take a long time to break in, and while they are breaking in they sound very metallic and may buzz. When they do break in they do sound decent. Overall they're OK strings if you need some quickly.Las cuerdas podran ser defectosas, se pueden separar e desarrollar cuando las pone, tuve que comprar tus paquetes por esta razon. Toman mucho tiempo en acostumbrarse bien al guitarron, y mientras se acostumbran suenan muy metalicas y podran emitir un zumbido. Despues de que se acoplen bien suenan mas o menos. Diria que son buenas cuerdas si requiere unas rapido de ultimo minuto o para principientes.
