I teach band and I order these for my students all the time. They respond well in the upper register and seem to last longer than the traditional Rico, or Rico Royal reeds. There are better products out there (Vandoren) but for the money and consistency, these are hard to beat.

I’ve tried a lot of clarinet reeds, and these are my favorite right now. I find them to be very responsive, without needing a “breaking in†period like some brands do. They can last a long time if you take care of them.

My 13 yr. old daughter likes these reeds. They were recommended by a guy who owns a music store down in Las Vegas. We bought a sax and clarinet from him and he is very knowledgeable. He told me these would be the best to get for my daughter and that they were reasonably priced compared to others that are "supposed" to be better. My daughter has been playing clarinet for almost 2 yrs. She has never had any issues with these.

These reeds are the best and my daughters clarinet teacher recommends them to all of her clarinet players. This is the second time we have gotten these reeds from Mitchell Lurie and we really like the sound they make when my daughter uses them in her clarinet. I also like getting these here on Amazon, because at the music store for a package of 10 the price is a lot more then the price I paid on Amazon.These reeds have a slightly thinner tip for ease of play and quick response and articulation and are unfilled for a deep dark tone. The makers of these reeds have a state-of-the-art reed research center, and employs the collaboration of agronomists, scientists, and musicians to produce top-quality reeds that include Rico Reserve premium reeds for clarinet and saxophone. I think this is awesome and the company really cares about their products and the musicians who buy their reeds. I would recommend these reeds to any clarinet, and saxophone players.

My son is one of the better clarinet players in his middle school. After the instrumental music teacher suggested he up his strength of reed to 3.0, I thought, I might as well go to a better overall reed quality as well while I was at it.This is noticeably better than the beginner reed model D'addario also sells ("rico"), and at once I noticed a brighter sound, and better intonation in the higher register when he used these. I do recommend these for your advancing beginner clarinet player student.
