As an archer who relies on my traditional recurve bow for both hunting and target practice, I can't recommend the SAMICK SPORTS Dacron Bowstring enough. Finding the right replacement string can be a gamble sometimes, but this one hit the mark perfectly. The first thing that impressed me was the fit. I ordered the size recommended for my specific bow model, and it fit like a glove. No need to spend ages trying to adjust or modify anything - it went on exactly as it should. Right out of the package, you can tell the quality is there. The string is well-made, with consistent winding and secure loops. It feels like something a seasoned archer crafted themselves, not a mass-produced part.Another big plus is the material. Dacron is known for being tough and long-lasting, and this string feels built to endure. I've put it through several shooting sessions already, and it shows no signs of wear or tear. Plus, the price is fantastic for the quality you're getting. You won't find a better value out there.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the SAMICK SPORTS Dacron Bowstring. It fits my bow perfectly, is exceptionally well-made, and is a steal at this price point. If you're in the market for a new bowstring, look no further - this one's a winner! In fact, I noticed a slight improvement in performance after installing the new string. The bow seems a touch quieter when fired, and my arrows seem to fly a bit faster and straighter. It's a subtle difference, but noticeable enough to make a real difference in my accuracy, especially over longer distances. So not only is this a great replacement string in terms of quality and value, it might even give your bow a bit of a performance boost!

This is a PROPERLY WOUND Dacron replacement bowstring for a traditional wood bow. They’ve taken their time to wax and turn everything correctly. The bowstring is strong, the separate Dacron threads are wound tightly and consistently, and you have all the properties you could want to string up, say, a 55# recurve (hypothetically). One thing some other manufacturers do is wind the string up TOO TAUT, which also takes away your brace height adjustment to your exact specifications. Not here, they wind it to just the right tension, and you still maintain your ability to customize up or down. WELL DONE.

Absolutely perfect bowstring in every single term. Waxed, not frayed (like another disappointing brand I got) string that definitely feels a lot more tough and durable than the original, Samick never disappoints. My samick sage recurve has never felt better. My shots are incredibly smooth, with less of a twang.

I ordered this string to replace a worn bow string on my survival bow. Previously I had an October Mountain recurve string on my bow. This string appears every bit as durable and well made as my other string and even a bit thicker, which I like. I had to give it quite a few twits to achieve a 7-inch brace height, but having to do that many twists is no different than my other string. After installation, I crimped on a brass nocking point to the string, and it holds firmly. I would have preferred it if the string included a brass nocking point, but I won’t nock (get it) them for not including one.So far with use the amount of wear on the string is comparable to the amount of wear I have seen with my other bow strings, so for the current price I consider this string a good value.

These strings work great on my recurve, however the serving has a tendency to come loose. I’m already on my second string this season due to a severe failure of the serving. After only a couple sessions of shooting, it came unwound all the way to the knocking point (about 3 inches).
