I ordered this to go in my ski/snowboard bag to replace a very old adjustable tuner. I found this one to be a very economical way to put a quick edge on my alpine skis and snowboard both in the condo the night before, as well as at lunch on the mountain. More expensive models may have a few more options for edge angle, but this little guy does the trick well, and is easy to use. Also, since there are no adjustable parts, I expect this to last a long time for me. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small, economically priced edge tuner to keep em sharp during the season and limit the amount of professional tuning you have to pay for.

Certainly works effectively, can peal material off your edge well. If there's a problem, it's that it's such a short file that it's easy to unintentionally vary your pressure along the way and create an uneven edge. In other words, it's easy to do as much harm as good.It would also be nice if there were some indication of reading proper angle ID in the instructions. Online consensus seems to be that the angle being applied is the number you can see as you're doing it. Best for touch-ups rather than primary tool.

This edger is perfect for Lib Tech magnatraction boards because its small. I didn't realize how dull my older edge tool had gotten. This one does a much better job. 88deg and 90deg sides and a coarse file for getting those burrs down. works great.

This edger is sold under a few brands (same design for all of them). One of the brands is oneballjay, which under that brand, makes a claim to sharpen GNU/Lib Tech magne-traction boards well. Those boards have a "wavy" edge called magne-traction (look it up for more info). The reason I chose this tuner is because I own one of those boards.It's supposed to work with those boards because the file is short, which makes sense on paper.I'm sure the shortness of this edger helps with sharpening magne-traction boards, but it doesn't work all that well for that kind of board.This sharpener works great with my other, "normally" shaped snowboard (K2 zeppelin), but I think there needs to be a new design altogether for magne-traction boards.I did the fingernail test on both of my boards (scrape your nail perpendicular to the edge, and see if it scrapes some nail material off):-My "normally shaped" board was MUCH sharper than it was prior to sharpening. 5/5 stars.-My GNU magne-traction board is sharper, but not near what my "normal" board is. I'm kind of unimpressed. 2.5/5 stars. We need a new designed sharpener for those boards - probably a curved file.Hard to rate this file. Great for normal boards, and I know THIS file isn't advertised to deal with magne-traction boards, but I know differently branded files that come out of the same mold are. That's part of the reason I got this file... Well I assume it's better than longer files anyways...

Great little tuner. Make sure to watch some videos on how to do it first. Also note that the number you see while sharpening your edges is the degree bevel it is currently set at.

I purchased in combination with Demon Hyperwax for boards and skis. Figured an “inexpensive†edger might allow touch up tuning . Edger is awkward and doesn’t edge well even when clamping board or skis in my shop vice. I do better with a good file. Now the Wax...WOW!

Kanten selber schleifen ist mit diesem Edge Tuner ein Kinderspiel. Vorsicht nahe der null Grad Grenze, die Kante schneidet bei 90 Grad Schleifwinkel in das angetaute Eis, mit dem Snowboard verkantent der Anfänger.

I've found that this product is better for maintaing rather then sharpening. My board edges have never been sharpened so this has made some difference but not back to factory standard.

Der Schleifstein fällt die ganze Zeit aus dem grünen Gehäuse, dies macht es relativ schwer kontinuierlich die kanten zu schleifen. Ansonsten ist es gut verarbeitet und tut was es tun soll.Da das Raufallen aber nervig ist empfehle ich das Tool nicht weiter.

Pratico, ovviamente non è come far fare le lamine in un laboratorio, ma per piccole rifilature e passate di mantenimento da fare a casa va più che bene
