Like that they fit in the warm and cold metal screw-on ends of the hot and cold water hoses that fill our clothes washer! We have a well that provides water to the house and we use these in addition to the whole house filter to prevent any ‘grit’ that by-passed the whole house filter. Simple to clean! Purchased extras as spares.

These are pre-installed in most collapsible sprinklers but the rubber degrades over time. Eventually the sprinkler leaks. These are the perfect replacement - they stop the leak. I hate leaky sprinklers and you should too, so get these.
