I have been baking sourdough bread for nearly two years now and one of my girlfriends just started her own baking journey. I bought this set as a gift for her because while you can manage just fine without a dutch oven or fancy bread baskets, a danish dough whisk is honestly such a game changer for those of us who like mixing dough by hand and watching the texture change. Very fair price at the time of purchase and the quality is nice and will last a while!

I already have a wire dough whisk that has overlapping circles. When combining ingredients for meatloaf, it works well, but there's meat residue stuck in the overlapping circles. I bought this great new whisk to get away from the hassle. It's mixing ability is wonderful, it releases for easily and it's handle is smooth with light varnish. I just received my whisk set yesterday and have already used the whisk and bench scraper. The whisk did a wonderful job of the initial mixing of the dough and I didn't have to use my hands to get all of the flour incorporated. It was easy to rinse off and clean. The bench scraper worked as it should to lift the sticky dough off of the countertop and cutting the dough ball in half. I have not needed to use the lame yet.

So glad I purchased the bread mixer & scorer for my sourdough endeavors! It makes mixing the dough so much easier initially, as well as scoring it when it’s ready to go in the oven. If you’re starting to make bread on a consistent basis, you need this!!

I purchased this to add to my sourdough tools. The Scraper is strong and cuts my bread dough easily. I did not realize how much I needed this piece. The Scoring Knife works great and is a game changer in decorating. I love that it comes with extra reusable blades. I love the Bread Whisk for mixing my starter and dough. The only downside to the whisk is it can be semi-difficult to clean where the metal and the wood meet. I find my stainless steel whisk easier to clean but would not hesitate to buy this whisk again. Happy Dough Making!
