I love the non-slip backing, long lasting metal and extra length. This will be perfect for cutting vinyl, fabric, and paper with my exacto knife. I could see this lasting a lifetime.

Not really a lot to say, other than it gets the job done. Reasonably lightweight and flexible, but still quite straight. One side is covered in cork to prevent slippage.I suppose if you were seeking a ruler lined on both sides, that might be dealbreaker. I was just looking for a ruler to use on 18x24 drawing paper, so I'm satisfied.

I purchased this as a replacement for one exactly like it that I had for more than 20 years. When I lost my first one I tried to get by without it and was so frustrated. I looked everywhere for a replacement - I was thrilled to see that it was the exact same one. I can't believe that they still make it, using the same metal and etched printing -- so many other companies skimp as they try to save money on materials. I use this thing for EVERYTHING... not just measuring. Is great for a straight edge for drawing lines, trimming paper, and it's even the perfect thickness for stuffing and then retrieving spines in narrow view binders... The thin metal and narrow size of the ruler is perfect for things like that.

As described. The ruler works well with the cork bottom to prevent sliding. It is flimsier than I would like though.

It's a ruler so what can I say. It seems sturdy and straight. The cork doesn't feel cheap like it will flake off. The only thing I found is that the corners are very sharp but in order to keep a straight edge I guess there is not much that can be done. I would buy again.

This is a classic metal ruler like parents kept in their office 40 years ago. I was confused by the product photo when I ordered it, I thought the blue edges in the photo was a rubber edging on the ruler itself, but turns out that's a blue plastic sleeve the ruler arrives in and you pull it out to be a plain metal ruler. Just sharing in case anyone else is confused as to what the blue is.

High quality ruler. These are the only rulers I use. The cork on the bottom ensures that it doesn't slip when you are measuring and the metal edge is alway precise and accurate. I often use this ruler as a guide for cutting paper, mat, cardboard etc. Works better than anything.

I mean, it's the classic metal ruler with cork underside.I use it to tear paper and as a straight edge.Good grippy cork, well adhered,The edges are nice and sharp for any uses like tearing paper or forming a crease.and at 24 inches, you'll never come up short!

Markings are clear, edges are straight.

I bought this ruler to replace another one of the same size that I lost and thankfully found again. Although the size is handy, the markings don’t begin at the end of the ruler, making accurate measurements off of a surface much more difficult. I’ll keep this as a backup but my old ruler is much better due to the markings starting at the edge.

Less useful because the additional material beyond the measurements has to be calculated or accounted for.
