I ordered this plastic needlepoint canvas specifically because it's advertised as being "ultra stiff."It's not.It's flimsy and useless for the projects I'd hoped to have been able to make.

These are not as stiff as I was hoping. You can roll them up if you need to. I emailed the Darice company to find out what kind of plastic is used to make this product. I received the following reply: "The plastic canvas items are made with Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) but have not been FDA tested." I looked up LLDPE, and it is food-grade plastic. I am using this item in growing microgreens. I imagine it would work well with sprouting large seeds (beans, lentils, sunflower) in mason jars.
