Works well. It's sturdy and the "TargetGuard" adds a level of confidence to working that I'm not going to smash my fingers. And not smashing my fingers is worth a few extra dollars. And a few more on top of that once you're dancing around after having hurt yourself.

The edge of the chisel was already chewed up with little divets and bent metal. It was already used so I returned it.

We bought this for our daughter along with some geodes and a rock hammer. This makes the geodes split nicely instead of shattering into a hundred pieces. The hand guard is awesome, as I think my husband and I would have some broken fingers from her hammer if it weren't for that :)
