I do quite a bit of photography editing so I like to have accurate color management on my monitors. This is a great complete kit that will ensure I have accurate colors from shoot to post.Firstly, the kit comes in a very nice and solid case. The color reference card is made of good stock and it is non-reflective which makes it great for use in a variety of environments.Installing the software on my PC for color balancing was pretty straightforward and using it was fairly simple, although it does ask a few questions like the type of monitor I use and if it had brightness control on it that had me doing a little research. But once I figured that out, it ran the program and balanced the color very well. It also allowed me to install it on all of my computers under the single license.The software also installs a utility that sits in my tray where I can toggle the color management on and off, which is really nice. I previously used an old Colormunki system that would spontaneously lose the color management on my monitor, prompting me to have to restart my computer to get it back. I have not had that issue at all with this system and the utility makes it easy to turn it on if that were to happen.Overall, I'm very happy with this product. As I mentioned, it does require you to have an understanding of how to navigate your monitor settings if you want to get the most out of it, but apart from that, it is a complete set that I will get lots of use out of.

In this kit, you get the "Spyder Cube," the "Spyder Checkr," and the Spyder calibration interface itself.The Spyder Cube is mainly an exposure aid containing white, grey, and black faces. The black face has a "black hole" in the middle, and there's also a shiny metallic ball affixed to the top to show specular highlights. With this, you can get a white balance and an overall good starting exposure and black/white levels quickly in your editing software.The Spyder Checkr gives you levels of grey and and 50% grey card on one side, and an additional set of greys plus eighteen fully saturated colors on the other. With this, you can use a histogram to tweak color reproduction and produce a color balance preset for cameras that support this option. If you are working in the studio with consistent lighting sources, and have a camera that supports color balance presets, you can export one with the accompanying software.The 2024 Spyder itself is an update of the previous design. This kit does not come with a Spyder Pro, but really the pro is only additionally more useful if you're working with a number of monitoring options and need to calibrate them all to a common "look." In my experience with a previous version, I would say if you aren't mixing up monitor types, you really won't get any additional features you don't get on the standard.The little aluminum case is certainly nice for keeping everything together. Be sure to keep the cardboard sleeve for the Spyder Checkr, as this protects it from fading.Five Stars!!

I spent a lot of time debating whether or not to try this product out. I am a photographer and ultimately decided that anything that can help me improve my art is a good thing. The spyder arrived quickly and this set came in a cute mini metal briefcase. It is well packaged and has a card with your activation codes to get things going. Make sure you read everything and watch the demos before getting started as all the instructions are on the website and not with the kit itself. This kit also comes spyder cube which helps with contrast, but only in controlled environments and also a color checker reference card. You do need appropriate software such as lightroom to access all the features. It is a complete kit to maximize your ability to create your best work and it is a great price for what you get.

The Datacolor Spyder Celebration Kit is exactly what I needed to take my photography to another level. I always struggle to get true to life colors so it's nice to have a calibration system that will calibrate my screen so I can get the colors exactly how I want them. The system is really quick to set up and I love how easy it is to use the software and spyder. It really is a great system and will be good for anyone who is looking to level up their printed photos.

Firstly, these old-school aluminum padded cases are so cool! Setting this on the shelf feels like a scene out of Mission Impossible 1. I still can't tell if this is a "celebration" kit or a "calibration" kit. That hasn't been made totally clear to me. There are definitely enough add-ons here to make it a celebration... but this is solely focused on color calibration.I do a ton of photography and some videography. I have 3 different monitors and ensuring that the monitors are color calibrated is a chore, I used to just buy nicer monitors and pray that I had the correct color calibration. Now I don't have to!Here are my thoughts on the entire setup.1. I have never been able to "refresh" a calibration without the colors coming out weird. I've pushed the reminders down the road and simply aim to do a total calibration every 3-6 months.2. I don't do a ton of printing of my work but I think that my own editing is more necessary to work on than just color calibrating my monitors3. Some monitors fare better than others to calibration4. The room that your monitor is in is almost as important as the calibration. Consistent lighting is key.5. The results should be subtle but well worth it!

Da tempo ho sempre avuto il desiderio di avere lo Spyder della Datacolor, ma poi sopravvenute esigenze, o distrazioni al momento dell'acquisto, mi hanno sempre fatto desistere dall'averlo.Poi, grazie al programma di Amazon Vine, ho avuto la possibilità di testarlo gratuitamente.Quando ho aperto la spettacolare valigetta in alluminio, mi sono trovato davanti ad un kit composto non solo dallo Spyder, ma anche da Cube e Checkr: stiamo parlando di eccellenza nel comparto digitale.In sostanza con lo Spyder ho finalmente calibrato il monitor con precisione, scoprendo anche che le immagini erano completamente distorte dall'originale e dal risultato finale: adesso posso dire di avere le immagini "true type" 😂.Il collegamento è facile ed il software è abbastanza intuitivo (comunque le istruzioni ed i tutorial aiutano a perfezionarsi in merito), ma ciò che sorprende è che in poco tempo ho raggiunto lo scopo.Spyder Cube e Checkr24 aiutano nel bilanciamento del bianco e dei colori, portando al massimo il livello di elaborazione grafica digitale.Di sicuro non stiamo parlando di prodotti economici alla portata di tutti, ma se si vuole l'eccellenza, non esiste di meglio sul mercato.

Produit gratuit testé dans le cadre du programme du club des testeurs Vine, sans rémunération pour donner une note et un avis qui sont basés sur mon utilisation au quotidien et qui n'engagent que moi.Les 3 appareils de ce petit coffret permettent de calibrer les écrans, de régler la balance des blancs et de créer un profil de couleur spécifique à l'appareil photo. L'objectif de l'ensemble : garantir la fiabilité des couleurs.Pour les écrans, c'est la sonde Spyder version 2024 qui est utilisé avec la dernière version 6.1 du logiciel Spyder Utility (à télécharger).Très pratique, le Cube est utilisé dans la 1ère photo de la session et il servira ensuite de référence pour la balance des blancs au post-traitement.Également photographié au début d'un shooting pour lequel il est important d'avoir des couleurs fidèles, le nuancier Checkr 24 va servir à créer, via le logiciel correspondant (à télécharger), le profil colorimétrique spécifique de l'appareil pour garantir la cohérence des couleurs au post-traitement.Datacolor a eu la bonne idée de regrouper ces outils dans une solide valisette pratique pour tout ranger en sécurité mais je ne prendrai pour les shootings que le cube et/ou le nuancier qui se glissent facilement dans le sac photo.Je trouve que l'étui protecteur du nuancier n'est pas très pratique, ce dernier coulisse mal et j'ai peur de l'endommager à la longue.Ce kit pour les 25 ans de la marque contient les outils Datacolor de base mais qui donnent déjà de très bons résultats. Une bonne opportunité pour améliorer la colorimétrie de ses photos.

I have a mild protanomaly color deficiency which means for me there is some issue with certain shades of red looking more green and always dimmer. I like to take photos, but editing has always proved challenging because I know I do not quite see things the same everyone else does. Through the years I have learned to compensate for this, but it is still a bit of a "guessing game". This kit removes that "guess" for me completely. Now I know the colors are "true" even if they don't look quite right to me, I know they are correct for the majority. Sweet!The three components of the kit are all very useful. The Spyder monitor calibrator is my favorite component. It was easy to figure out how to use, especially after viewing a couple videos online. The Spyder cube is also easy to use. We have an SLR as well as a small automatic, both of which allow us to adjust white balance. With the cube, I just take a photo with the cube in it, adjust the white balance setting for the current conditions, and then it is set perfectly for the following picture(s). The built in lanyard and standard threads for a tripod provide many options for how you set it up for the first shot.Spyder Checkr24 is more involved, and has taken some time to learn how to use. I have managed to muddle my way through Gimp with this and think I have it pretty much figured out. Next, I understand this will work with Resolve 19 as well. We do take quite a few videos of the kids in sports and at various family events. I want to see how I can use this in video now as well, but have not quite figured that one out yet.This is a nice kit that comes with a number of tools that as stated has removed some of the guess work out of the editing I do. I like that I can actually calibrate screens so they work/look optimal for everyone in the family rather than based on my opinion. This is a not a cheap kit, but with the amount of features this offers, I think it is well worth the price.

Having worked for 35 years in the Television Production Business, I get the need to calibrate colour from the camera, through post production, and eventually display. Back in the day there was always an old joke about the NTSC format (National Television Standards Committee) that NTSC actually stands for Never Twice Same Colour, as it could be a problem if you didn’t properly calibrate everything down the line.Now retired, but a photography buff, I jumped at the chance to try this kit out. Along with the Spyder, Cube, and colour targets, you get license keys to Spyder Checkr24 and the Spyder software for monitor calibration. All of this will give you colour management from capture to display.The Spyder application that calibrates your monitors is quite intuitive and walks you through the process easily. In my case I have a Macbook Pro with a retina display and two external monitors. This gives me a generous amount of screen real estate when editing photos or video, but which monitor is displaying the actual correct colours? Another old saying comes to mind “The man with two watches never really knows exactly what time it is†Accurate calibration will make this conundrum all but go away.Once I finished calibrating all three displays they all matched, which is something I couldn’t do just eyeballing it. The process was simple and accurate which is impressive.Spyder checkr 24 took me a little more time to figure out, but in addition to the online instructions there are YouTube videos out there which helped me through the process of having the colour targets as a preset in Lightroom. I made the switch to using Luminars photo software as my main platform a few years back which I don’t believe works seamlessly with this software, but I can always colour correct in my old version of Lightroom, then export to the other software to fine tune.Overall I think it’s a great kit for professionals, or hobbyists that want to step up their game.

La verdad es que por un minuto me habÃa emocionado, pensando que era un nuevo producto de Datacolor, pero no, es un kit compuesto por 3 de sus mejore productos: Spyder, Cube y Checkr, que ya tienen una trayectoria y una relevancia más que probada desde hace años.El Spyder 2024 calibra el monitor para que los colores se vean con precisión. Antes de usarlo, notaba que las imágenes se veÃan diferentes dependiendo de la pantalla que usaba. Ahora, con el monitor calibrado, puedo confiar en que lo que veo es lo que obtendré al imprimir o compartir mis fotos online. Se conecta fácilmente por USB y el software es bastante intuitivo, incluso para alguien que no es un experto en calibración y lo mas impresionante es que en apenas 2 minutos lo tienes totalmente calibrado.El Spyder Cube es una pequeña herramienta que ayuda a ajustar el balance de blancos y que llevo usando desde hace años, y sinceramente, no hay otra mejor. Simplemente se coloca en la escena que se va a fotografiar y se toma una foto. Luego, se usa esa foto como referencia en el software de edición para ajustar el balance de blancos de toda la sesión. Es especialmente útil en situaciones de iluminación mixta o complicada. Me ha ahorrado horas y horas de tiempo de edición, ya que antes tenÃa que ajustar el balance de blancos foto por foto. Aunque existen alternativas más económicas, la verdad es que la precisión y la facilidad de uso del Spyder Cube lo valen.El Spyder Checkr 24 es una carta de color que sirve para crear perfiles HSL precisos.
