First impressions were heavy duty well made. The powder coat is good as powder coating can be. Nice heavy feel when you take them out of the box.

Comes with everything necessary to install. High quality. Resist the temptation to over tighten the nuts. Recommend loctite on the set screws. Well worth the money.

These are very nice and convenient shackles.- I assume this to be quality steel. Based on my highly-calibrated hand, I’d say these have a tiny bit more heft and hardness than the galvanized ones I’ve held….But I wouldn’t want to be smacked with either.- This shackle does not have a CE stamp, but it does have a “10T WLL†stamp, which is over twice as much as standard 3/4†shackle that typically has a 4 ¾ Ton WLL. (The product listing also claims a 11T WLL strength). I’m not sure how much to trust this, especially considering the design of two opposing open hooks. A testing certification or strength demo video would be nice.- For such little magnets, they do a surprisingly well job of keeping the hooks together.- The double-nut pin is an interesting design as well, and the nuts have set screws to keep the nuts in place (and deter theft). Maybe don’t overtighten the set screws though, as to not damage the set screw or shackle pin threads.- “Plastic†rubber washers are included and welcomed to reduce wear and rattling.- The fit and finish on these is smooth enough. The pin aligns well to the holes, and threads are also smooth.- Admittedly, the ability to quickly attach/detach straps to this shackle without having to fiddle with a shackle pin is really convenient.Bottom Line:I don’t normally comment on price, but split shackles seem to be somewhat novel and cost much more than regular bow shackles. That these claim to be stronger than regular shackles, and that the split shackles are more convenient to use, and that this includes a snatch block, may make it worth it, especially with frequent use.

These are beefy and well made. They won't replace all of your traditional shackles as they are intended to be semi permanently mounted to a bumper or hitch but for that purpose they are awesome, just pop them open, run your strap through and snap them shut. So much faster than unscrewing a shackle pin, especially when it seems like every time you go to use a traditional shackle, the pin is frozen and you need a tool to unscew them. Two minor criticisms: I wish they had multiple magnets holding the two halves together, I have no doubt that they will stay together during use but it's not the most positive feeling closure.Cost. These are 3x the price of a traditional shackle, that might be worth it to you for the innovation, especially if used as intended but they do seem a bit over priced.

I'm really liking these split D ring shackles. No more disassembling the pin or bolt to hook up a rope or strap with an eyelet on the end. Along with not having to worry about losing a bolt or pin because with these you tighten the set screws and use them to lock the bolt/pin in place. I use these a lot to help skid logs for my sawmill out of the dense forest of our property and they just save me a lot of time and fiddling around with my rigging. And so far, they have handled quite a bit of heavy use with no signs of failure or wear outside of paint issues. Sorry but, there is NO paint that will stand up to logging chains, just isn't going to happen. But, if you are using these for offroad recovery with straps and synthetic winch ropes, the paint will probably last for a long time. All other things being equal, I will choose this style of split ring from now on, just for ease of use. Definitely 5 stars and RECOMMEND!

Durable, easy to use and worked just fine pulling an f550 out of the mud. Would recommend

These feel like heavy duty, stronger than the frame of the vehicle you are driving, type of shackles. The first thing that gets your attention is the weight of this set. There is a lot of metal on these shackles. The design is really innovative all around. The split shackle design makes it very easy to attach rope to them without having to remove the shackle and re-install it. I also like that nylon (or similar plastic) spacers are included which prevents chattering from vibration or swinging in place. One feature I'm not fully sold on is the set screws on the nuts... I haven't dealt with that before, and I'm not sure if I like them yet. What makes it potentially a good feature is that you can tighten the nut anywhere you want it, instead of needing to torque it down against the mount. Time will tell if that design will hold up. If you plan on installing them in place and leaving them long-term, it might be worth applying some blue loctite to the nuts and even set screws to make sure they stay. My two cents anyway. I love the design and materials used. 5/5 stars.
