The primary purpose of this is to turn off the lights when the vehicle is not running. Or after some short period of time after the vehicle stops running. It seemed to work at first, but quickly changed to where it does not turn the lights off at all. I checked battery voltage, and it is less than the 13v the documentation specifies will turn on/off the lights. Yet, my lights have been on for about a day.I would suggest looking for better solutions.
