I ordered this to replace the defunct blower in my 40 year old woodstove. It came with no switch or power cord which was good because there are a number of applications for this that require different setups. I wired it with a length of spt-2 pvc cord and installed an in-line on/off switch...then attached the flexible blower hose (from my old blower) to the Dayton blower. All this in less than 1/2 hour and with only $15 worth of parts from the hardware store. How does it work? It is working very well. It is very quiet for a blower...it has enough power to circulate the woodstove heat throughout a 600 sq. ft area and the balance of temperatures in the house is perfect. The best part was the price...I got this for 1/3 the price of similar fans from other sources. Highly recommend it for this type of application.

I got this Dayton blower to connect it to a DIY Heat Exchanger i did for my wood fire place and it was a good buy because it push the hot air out the heat exhanger 12 pipes (3/4" 16 gauge pipes) very nice with good flow at 325 F and also very quite, i had to modified the blower body a little bit by hammering down the body a little to make it 5 inches 1/8" high so i could barely fit the blower inside the down compartment of the fire place next to another blower i have and also i connect it to a switch in the outside front plate and run a 2" aluminum flex tube i got from the autoparts to connect the blower to the 2" square manifold that connects to the 12 pipes heat exchanger going through the side of the fire place refractory and i have to admit that the hole project came out really really nice and professional with this Dayton blower! hats off and 5 Stars all the way to Dayton for manufacturing these nice blowers!

This is the 2nd one I have have purchased. 1st lasted almost 10 yrs and frankly perhaps had some more life in it. Used to circulate cold air in a kegerator system. It's on 100% of the time and sitting in the bottom of a 34 degree, damp refrigeration unit. There's nothing I can complain about.The one thing I do want to mention is that the previous unit had a power cord, mounting bracket and rubberized plastic output cowl and this unit did not. It is totally my own dumbness for not realizing this. The unit came exactly as pictured and I have zero complaints. Just wanted to mention that in the rare event that someone else might be expecting that stuff.

Shipping took a little while but item arrived undamaged and in new condition. Works great. This was an exact replacement for our previous blower motor we use with our all-nighter wood stove.

Purchased Dayton 1TDN6 blower about two years ago. It sat on a shelf until I have (now) gotten around to fabricating for my forge. First question: 3 star because, Who and Why would ANYONE make the output 2 3/16 inches (55mm), when NOTHING, I mean NOTHING will fit that output for the blower ???? Otherwise it’s a great blower!
