The original part was no longer available, this was a direct replacement on my Polaris Sportsman 600 and all the connectors and attachment holes matched well. Plugged it in and verified that it worked correctly right away. My battery is back to charging normally.

The wiring setup is different than a stock one (atleast on my 04' 700 twin) but there are directions online.
