edit: I reviewed the wrong item, oopsactual review, got this to power some led light strips for my 3d printer and wanted a cord with a switch, the addition of the screw down terminal was perfect for wiring in my strips to be powered as well. this guy has worked well the entire time I have had it and I recommend it for any small led light strip work

I've purchased two of these for two different LED strips in my house, the first one works perfectly, I can switch my LED light strips I have wrapped around my mirror in no time after getting ready for work and leave.The second one however caused my other strand I have in my fish tank to blink rapidly like a strobe light or something, I ended up having to purchase a remote control and extension to control the blinking, I thought at first it was the LED strand but when I plugged it in to my first adapter, nothing, normal as ever.

My 45 gallon aquarium light switch stopped working and a new light set up was going to cost $55. This replacement switch and cord was perfect and less than $10. Now I can see my fish again.

I've gone through probably 5 or 6 of these things, all the same, with the same markings, from different sellers over the years. Every time they fail within weeks to months, or a year or two. I've got another bad one right now, and they all seem to be the same no matter who the seller is.

12.2 VDC at no load and about 50mA (that's all I need it for). It seems like a waste using a 1A supply for 50mA, but the price was right.
