So far they are working great. Easy installation on Bass Tracker boat trailer. Just bent the tabs where the straps that came with the boat and trailer were made to hook up. Bolted to those tabs and been working great. Time will tell how well they hold up.

These are a great addition to my 2" straps. They work just as good and mare much smaller in size. Good quality and work great.

I grew up with the straps that always got loose, fell off, were a pain to do. The last boat I had, I had these installed and WOW - I should have done that from the beginning.The hook is always retained and ready to connect - the ratchet doesn't get loose and the ski stays securely down. Press the red button and push down and it will get loose and retract on its own. Hook up, start ratcheting until tight and push handle down - ezpz. Looks sharp and works perfect - can't forget or loose these!!If you rent a Jet-Ski - these should be a "Must Have" item IMO.

I've bought 2 pairs of the 1' x 6' Zinc units. I bought them in 2019 and am writing this I'm early 2022. I use them on my ladder rack mainly securing ladders and lumber. Overall the straps have held up well. I have had one fail about 5 months ago after about 2 yrs of use. The strap stopped retracting. I opened it up to see if it had failed are come out of alignment. Unfortunately it failed, the spring broke. I have not yet replaced it but likely will. I am looking at other styles that may be more robust but the auto retract feature is so handy when you use your straps multiple times per day that if I have to replace them every 2 or 3 yrs that it's probably worth it.

My father has a lift on the back of his car for a scooter. The medical versions of these were like $400.These worked just as well and give zero issues so far and they get plenty of use and installed insanely easy on the model of lift he has.Don’t use it for his scooter which already fits perfectly but for a power wheelchair that otherwise wouldn’t.Have the wheelchair modified with 2 loops coming off the back of the handles that these 2 hook into and tighten while the thing that comes down on the lift to hold the scooter in place comes down perfectly on the foot rest of the wheelchair.Holds it down nice and firm so it doesn’t move at all and is easy to use and remove.Definitely worth the price.

These were easy to put on my boat trailer and fit perfect they are better than using straps. I like that they are fast and tie my boat down and I can release them just as easy.

Update (1/14/20)Well, it has been just a little over a year now working with these 10 cargo straps on a daily basis to hold my ladders on the rack, and I already have a couple straps that need replaced due to cuts, but none of them are showing signs of wear from the Sun. The stainless steel housing have all held up great, and even the vynal coated steel hooks are still in good shape. The action of these retractors are also still working swell, but the straps are not made to be replaced, so as always; everything is only as good as it's weakest link and the whole unit has to be replaced.I have used these sort of retractable straps for about a decade now and love them, so these were to be a replacement. I was thrilled to see someone sells a stainless steel version of them, which also was not too expensive. The return spring seems plenty strong, but the lever needs some modification. If this was like most, where the release pulls down to the main handle it then it would leave your other hand free for working the hook, but this flaw will require you to have 3 hands to opperate effectively. With a bit of practice it is usable, but it could be better.The strap in these are pretty thin and not made to be replaceable, which is an issue, since this fragile strap, which is not even 1/4 as strong as a seat belt, will not last more than a year if I'm lucky, so that is a problem. This defeats the whole purpose of having a long lasting stainless steel metal housing like this. The solution is to sell a replacement strap that is easily swapped out, but that will not be an option here, so this has a very serious planned obsolecense issue worked in on purpose, so this is an issue of fraud, yet not much different than most any other manufacturer. Although, I would expect more from a company that is selling a life-time metal housing with no way to replace this fragile strap when it gets worn out or cut up, and can no longer be relied on for holding your cargo, which could cause a serious accident if not multiple fatalities when your cargo goes flying down the road behind you.You will need to be very mindful to check the condition of the strap before each use and be ready to replace the whole unit before it is too late, which rarely happens in the real world.

Easy to use, but an instruction sheet on how to retract would have been helpful as first set i have used. Easy to install and works great to secure the back of my 19ft boat.

After a few months of use the auto retract system stops working when pressing the button.Unfortunately didn't have a good experience myself
