I purchased this rheostat (motor controller) to slow down a 12 volt dc solar surface pump which was sending spring water up to a collection tank. The spring puts out about 1.5 gallons per minute but the pump delivers about 3.5 gallons per minute so pretty quickly it would start sucking silt, mud, and even gravel. Now with the rheostat set at 40% it pretty closely matches the spring output which was the goal. Two thumbs up!!

I actually bought this as a temporary until right part comes in, it's too deep to fit in a RV trailer wall, but it works great and was easy to install

Used this controller on an 80 watt vent fan in a camper van. Worked well for 2 months then it just stopped working. Trying to contact supplier.Update: Supplier responded within 24 hr. and sent a replacement controller which is now installed and working. Overall a positive experience. Hope the new device lasts longer.
