This is a great device for reducing the output of an RF signal generator into a VHF/UHF amp for aligning a preamp. Inexpensive, but effective. The labeled reductions in db are not perfect, but close enough. Would recommend to anyone (and would buy again).

The attenuator section meets the spec. The microstrip through reference line - does not. The matter of the fact is that the PCB has a design flaw. Ground interlayer copper is missing, so all traces there are not 50 ohms but about 80 ohms. Somehow, the attenuator section still works up to 4ghz with fairly decent VSWR.

I wasn't sure how much I needed to attenuate the RF readers. So I bought this and was able to determine that I needed 20db drop. One and done. Could have spent a lot more and days trying to figure it out.
