I bought two of these futon covers for my pair of full sized futons and was looking specifically for covers that can be cleaned in my laundry, are rugged enough to withstand the "harsh" realities of my beagle Elsie, and look stylish enough for when I entertain guests. I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out and very happy by the competitive price as sold through Amazon.My futon mattresses are about 6" tall (one is a Serta 8" spring+foam+cotton mattress that's actually manufactured by Wolf and most certainly not a fraction of an inch beyond 6" tall. The other spring+foam+cotton mattress was sold as 6" tall and is amazingly what it says it is.) For extra comfort, I've put 2" thick memory foam pads of medium density on top of the mattresses, yielding an experience that causes my teenage kids and their friends to quickly fall asleep on them, even when in the upright position. (Note: I paid a few dollars extra to get the memory foam that has a super-soft cotton fabric zip-up protector on it, which ensures that the denim outer cover is only in direct contact with this inner cotton protector to minimize frictional wear.)My previous futon covers were sadly zipped around just two sides, if that, making it very difficult to get the memory foam + futon mattress in and out of the covers. These denim jean covers have a full three sided zipper that was incredibly easy to zip up in just two minutes while I was talking on the cell phone to my mom. They are made of denim material that is the same thickness and appearance as my 501 standard cut Levi jeans. Although I haven't washed them yet, the material is soft and smooth, certainly not scratchy. The denim cover perfectly fit my 6" futon mattress + 2" memory foam pad and once zipped up, it looks like a single futon mattress. In addition to this setup looking stylish and being rugged, it also easily conforms to the futon frame in any position. I highly recommend this setup and will likely be buying one for my daughter.

I purchased this cover to replace the old scratchy one that was on my futon. The quality actually surprised me at this price point. I love the texture, body, and feel of the fabric. It is very thick and durable, yet soft, and the dark denim color makes my futon look somehow casual and elegant at the same time. The fit is nice for my 7 to 8 inch futon and the zipper is sturdy. I have not tried washing it yet, but am happy to report absolutely no bleeding of color onto my white sheets (when guests spend the night on the futon) despite the dark blue color.

Real cotton denim. Washes up well yet sturdy. The color is a pre-washed medium blue as pictured, Evenly dyed throughout (no fade or worn marks like jeans). Heavy duty nylon zipper on 3 sides made it easy to get onto my 8" futon mattress. Because it is real denim, there will be loose/frayed thread inside by the zipper. Trim these off after washed so they will not get caught in the zipper. A super deal.

I washed these before putting them on the futon and they were still VERY dark almost black. They fit but it is awkward to bag a mattress so you will handle it a lot by the time you're done. I put the mattress back on the futon and sat down. It felt OK, but my hands looked like I had been working on the car. From all the dye they picked up. It washed off but needed to scrub to get it all. The washer and dryer have a blue tint that doesn't want to go away. It doesn't seem to transfer to other clothes either, so I'm watching it fade slowly in the washer. I do have 2 futons so I washed the other one 5 or 6 times before installing it. It looks blue and my hands looked better so I washed the other one a few times to get it to match. They are made well and hold up. The fit is decent and aside from the bulkinesscsf a mattress they are easy to install.

Just what I wanted! I have a very thick, heavy futon and wanted something in extremely dark blue fabric that would hold up well-- I have a bad back and often sleep on my futon couch if my back is bothering me. When I got this, I was surprised by how dark it was but pretty pleased; I put it through the wash right away, and it lost the top layer of dye (not uncommon, there's usually a kind of peripheral layer left on the very outside of fabric), temporarily dying my washer blue. After it dried, though, the cover didn't shed any dye onto surfaces that touched it, and it fit my thick futon perfectly. I like this cover so much I may order a second one to swap out when I wash this one; seriously, it's worth it.

Its a little bit stretchy, but not as much as some reviews led me to believe. Also thicker than I expected. I was replacing a high quality indigo denim cover by SIS, our go to futon cover for 20 years, which has been discontinued. The zipper feels strong, we did not have issues with loose threads catching in it. It is dark, dark denim. I'm hoping that will mellow with washing, but we've not washed it yet. To the touch it feels like a good pair of stretchy jeans, but doesn't stretch quite as much. We have a 6 inch futon mattress with a 2 inch foam mattress pad on top and I was able to, with a little effort, get everything to fit in smoothly. If you're a futon person you know the wrestle, but it wasn't excessive.

This cotton blue denim cover replaces a cotton blue denim cover I bought locally years ago. It looks exactly the same. It's a sturdy weight. I did need help zipping it on the mattress. My prior cover had a lot of slack in it; this one fits much better. My dogs must love it too because they like to roll around on it. In fact, within minutes of putting it on it was covered in dog hair. But that's the story of my life. Quite happy with the purchase. Denim goes well with everything.
