This product is very sturdy. Works great. Takes some setting up but once it's set up you're good to go. Makes great coffee. Something to keep in mind when it comes to life of the machine and long term cost: the water softener is recommended for 2 month life span. The product comes with one to get you started. However after every use of the foamer you have to run a clean cycle and before it shuts off the machine runs a clean cycle. I also run a clean cycle if I will be long between uses so coffee doesn't dry and build up at the end of the spouts. The amount of water it uses isn't a lot however, that will effect the life of the softener since you'll have to add more water. I use Brita filtered water so it should help as well. All in all its a great, sturdy product. Easy to clean what needs to be cleaned. Does exactly what it's supposed to. A few extra bells a s whistles with Bluetooth connectivity and profile programming.I would recommend this product if youre willing to pay the peice tag. DeLonghi makes great products abs what sold me on this one is that it IS made in Italy. So I expect a higher standard of quality than products made in China.

This is absolutely amazing. We use it daily. Probably 7 cups each a day. Coffee tastes great . Basically Starbucks haha. Definitely get the one with the milk dispenser because the foam is amazing on this. Works fantastic. Must buy. Definitely give it a 10++. Also pretty fast. A little noisey but it's worth it. Haven't bought a coffee out since we got this! Just get a bunch of cappichino mixes and you will love it. The drinks look so cool and layered.

I’ve had an older version of this model, perhaps before the introduction of Chinese manufacturing, and I loved it. It was a beast. It seemed indestructible and it made great coffee. This one was garbage out of the box.The “Water Circuit Empty†alert would not reset. Looking online, I troubleshot to the extent of prudence. There is a small switch with an encased impeller that someone (including De’Longhi, as they post the YouTube video on their site) thinks filling with a small amount of water will fix the problem. Not true, at least in my case. I suspect that there is an air/water leak somewhere I can’t find.I called customer support. They recorded a video of it not working, and said I should await an email containing a return label in 1-2 days. Three working days (five days) passed without an email. So I replied to the email sent from the rep I spoke to asking for the label. Someone else answered from the same account asking for a video of the malfunctioning unit. I explained that I’d already submitted that and boxed up the unit to send back for a replacement. No answer, three days later. So thankfully I can still return it to Amazon and buy a Breville instead, like I should’ve from the beginning. I only regret buying the protection plan and wasting so much time.Edit: Adding Amazon to the review and dropping to one star. Although the tracking number indicates the product was received over a week ago, the refund has not been processed. All the more reason to avoid this product.

We bought this product based on a recommendation from someone who makes a living repairing and selling coffeemakers. This was his top recommendation and what he uses for himself. The coffee is really good and the cleaning upkeep is amazing.

I owned a Saeco Exprellia machine that cost $2000 new and used it for 7 years. This was my first super automatic. It worked flawlessly for five years and then began to need repairs. Finally I got frustrated enough to go after a new machine. After reading many reviews I decided to try the Phillips 3200 as it was $800 and had all the same features as more expensive machines. I kept it for three days and then returned it. It made decent coffee, but the ground coffee pucks came out like wet sand with a lot of water in the drip tray. Adjusting the grind setting had no effect so I decided to return it. I did not want to get a new machine and have trouble from day one. Then, I got the DeLonghi 37005TI. What a difference! It is much more substantial, works terrifically and is super easy to use. Although $700 more expensive than the Phillips 3200 it is well worth it. The Saeco machine is now labelled as Gagglia and has the same $2000 price tag. The DeLonghi runs circles around it. I can't think of anything bad to say about this machine.Update: Sometimes when I descale the machine it does not reset and still indicates it needs to be descaled. This happens every so often and is unpredictable. I am not sure if it is a glitch or if the machine senses it is not cleaned enough and needs to be cleaned again.Update: 7/31/24 - I have had trouble with the milk carafe being very difficult to remove and tried lubricating everything with silicone that did not work. So, I purchased a new carafe and had the same trouble with it. I hated to force the carafe off as I feared breaking something. So, I wrote to DeLonghi Customer Support and after several emails I have given up. I was never put in contact with a technician nor given one suggestion. Customer support was interested in the invoice, where I bought it and photos of the serial numbers. Now they want a video of the problem when I try to remove it. I know from past experience that a technician would never work this way and would offer some things to check, or lubricate, etc. I have given up. However, it is still an excellent machine and works great except for the carafe problem.

Bought a Philips 5500 to replace a 15 year old automatic thinking it would be similar quality espresso shots. Not even close. Tried different settings and gave it time (several dozen shots) but the Philips still ended up yielding a poor quality, watery espresso.Returned the Philips and bought the delonghi dinamica plus. Night and day. Espresso has perfect crema and intensity right out of the box. Interface and build more svelte as well. Better customization of drinks.Worth the extra dollars. The Philips does have an easier-to-use/clean milk frother but foam quality not as good as delonghi.

All you need is a little patience and this machine will satisfy your coffee cravings, easy to set up, just remember before turning it on take care of the water process, to get the ideal reading of the hardest or softness of your water, use the filter as directed. Fill to maximum so that for the first time to power your machine, it will heat and do an initial rinse. This power on of heating and rinsing happens every time you power it on and off.Select a bean that suits your taste, the strength of coffee can be adjusted, but keep in mind that the ground setting is paramount to experiment with.Trails and testing every morning is all the fun if you haven't done every sort of coffee available.I suggest double wall cups for different coffees. You'll find sets or individual pairs anywhere, deals here on Amazon are good value, and you may wish to add it to your cart as you order the machine. All in all, yes pricy, but to be honest it's the simplest and satisfying machine that my previous La Specialista manual coffee machine - both fantastic! DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER YOUR PRODUCT FOR ADDITIONAL YEAR WARRANTEE! E N J O Y - we are!!!

Threw away my Keurig after I got this. Makes great coffee, espresso, etc. All with the push of a button, it's that user friendly. The newer model is the "Dinamica Plus", and as far as I can tell, the difference is a touch screen as opposed to this model which has touch screen buttons.
