Trouble Shootings:
1. Why I press the ON/OFF button but it won’t power up?
Ans.: Please change another 9V Alkaline battery and try again.
2. The backlight function does not work?
Ans.: Long press the HOLD button for 3 seconds until the backlight turns ON. Long press HOLD button 3 seconds again to turn it OFF.
3. Does it measure both type A/C weighting?
Ans.: No, it measures type A frequency weighting only.
4. Does it measure out of 30-130dB range?
Ans.: It only works within 30-130dB range. It displays OL for out-of-range indication.
5. How accurate is this meter?
Ans.: It has been produced and pre-calibrated to a highly accurate level. The accuracy +/-1.5dB can be achieved under reference conditions.

Not much to say. It’s cheap but works.It’s good for a beginner, but obviously if you use it daily get a more reputable brand.I haven’t had any issues with it, works.

Got these mainly for my drummer son so he can gauge the noise and protect his hearing. It seems to work pretty good, but not sure if he's taking adequate precautions. At least I know I've done everything I can including warning him and showing him the danger.

This measures sound well enough, it is difficult with the current technology to measure for what I want it do do, namely to figure out how loud of a bluetooth speaker I would need to listen to radio/podcasts while in my loading dock job, the labor is mindless and it is nice to learn things while doing it but I don't like using headphones as the get damaged or ripped out of my ears to often in such work. So for my very specific needs this device is not really as accurate as I was hoping but is still fun to use for general measurements for things like my power tools.TL/DR: it is Not a precision tool and even says so in the packaging but otherwise works pretty well

Started randomly eating batteries without use after 2 years then a few months later and another dead battery it will not turn on with a new one. Pressing the on button quickly will eventually make the screen flash but I assume the electronics have just given up.Nothing inside looks like it let the smoke out.It was $20 so this is more or less what I would expect, but figured I'd let people know.

Good clear screen, readability, seems pretty accurate, good quality and easy to use. Very portable. It is very handy to have.Cons: the batteries don’t last very long, it eats up batteries pretty quick

I use to measure noise coming from my in line duct. It work perfectly how many time can i use and how long this item will last who knows..

It is a good product to use in industry to find out the level of sound in surround. It can't measure below 30 db. So, you can't judge the level of sound proofing. Yet, above wishper sound, the measuring of noise is pleasing.

Very inaccurate. Bought this to set up home theatre speakers and while using test tone at constant volume the meter kept jumping 4 to 5 decibels a second . Free sound meter app on mobile phone is a lot more accurate
