I'm a professor and I got this to measure noise levels during my field labs. I want to show students what the noise levels sound like in different parts of the city, from downtown to parks and suburban areas, so I can teach them about the impacts of noise pollution on wildlife and human health. I wasn't expecting much from this considering the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. This sound meter has a solid build quality. It feels durable, with a slightly rubberized plastic casing that allows you to hold it securely and seems to offer some protection from drops. What I was really impressed with was how sensitive the microphone is to even slight changes in sound volume. It's very responsive and detects changes in noise quickly. It also appears to be very accurate in its measurements. My research involves acoustics and I have not had a questionable or bad estimate yet. I also love that you can switch from dBA to dBC and from dB to SONE to adjust for how you want to measure noise. These features are comparable to a high end sound meter. It also has fast and slow response modes, so you can adjust the sensitivity of the readouts for your needs, as well as max, min, and hold functions to get more detailed outputs. The display is large, bright, and easy to read. For its price and performance, this sound meter is exceptional.

Whie the unit performs well and meets expectations a few items relating to design, in my opinion exist.One, is the use of a screw to secure the battery cover. This results in the need to have the screwdriver always available shoud the batteries need to be replaced.Two, the design of the base. It difficult and insecure to vertically stand the unit up. A wider, flatter base would be better suited.Three, a hard carrying case would be prefered.

Big, easy to read screen, functions are all easy accesible, reports quickly and powers up in seconds. This will be great for setting up sound in a large room that a friend has plans for. I have only used it in the living room and it responds quickly. With a show or movie playing, it would quickly and seemingly accurately report the dB level when dialogue was spoken. Looking forward to putting it to use!

This meter performs just as advertised. I've found it very easy to use and very helpful around the home and workplace to help address noise issues from an evidence-based standpoint. I'm sure it will work well for you in any application you need.

I purchased this sound meter out of curiosity to test various noise levels around my home. Upon unboxing, I immediately noticed its solid build quality, comfortable grip, and well-balanced weight. The slightly rubberized plastic casing provides a secure, non-slip feel when placed on a surface for testing, which was unexpected for a device in this price range.In terms of functionality, the meter includes fast and slow response modes, making it easier to read measurements. It also features max and min hold, along with a standard hold function, all of which are useful for capturing specific readings. While an average function would be a beneficial addition, it’s understandable that not all features can be included at this price point.The only notable omission is a camera mount adapter, which would allow for tripod use in various testing scenarios. Aside from that, the meter appears accurate and is well-constructed. Overall, it offers excellent value, and I highly recommend it for those in need of a reliable sound meter.

I will be measuring various decibel readings on motorcycles and a few turbocharged Subaru builds.I have DOT on road and several off road racing standards to follow and a custom built motorcycle or car intake/exhaust needs to have a maximum decibel output to be legal for use.This device is helping us from getting scrutinized by the authorities.Readout updates on the screen are a little slow when testing, used my kiddos button mashing skills while playing his Switch console at 5 or so feet away.

This is a solid bit of electronic wizardry - an indispensable tool for anyone serious about sound quality and volume control. The unit has some weight to it, and it feels really solid. It is super easy to use and the display is bright, large and easy to read just about anywhere. The microphone is quite sensitive, and the unit will respond to the slightest change in sound volume. I use it in the "db" mode because that is what I have been using for years, I haven't figure out what the "sone" mode is all about yet. This feels like a quality tool that will get a lot of use in my studio and whenever I am working sound at a live event.

This digital sound level meter works well. It is well build, easy to use, and has a sharp color display. The display has a fairly narrow angle of view, but that is not an issue for me.I am unsure of the accuracy of the readings as I do not have a calibrated sound level meter to compare with. However, it seems fairly sensitive. Sitting at my desk in my quiet office with the door closed and without typing, I am measuring 28.0 dBA consistently. When I am typing, the keyclicks raise the level from about 36 dBA to about 41 dBA. My mouse, which is a couple feet away registers about 31.1 dBA.I plan to resolve an office dispute with this meter. My colleague at the desk next to me claims another employee a few aisles over is much louder. I intend to prove him wrong!

Fin ora utilizzavo un app sul telefono per effettuare misurazioni fonometriche che, però, essendo condizionato dalla sensibilità del microfono del cellulare non mi garantiva risultati tali da ritenersi affidabile. Questo prodotto oltre ad avere un aspetto decisamente professionale ho notato che ha un ottima sensibilità e può essere utilizzato in svariate situazioni offrendo risultati precisi ed affidabili. ottima leggibilità del display.
