How to select the bolt length？
Short bolt: spindle thickness / width within 1”
Long bolts: spindle thickness / width 1” to 1 3/4”
The applicable railing thickness of the two sets of bolts is 0.12" to 1.75 inches

The applicable railing spacing of the deck hook base is 5.5 inches, but generally, code across the US is smoothly consistent with a 4 "space between the spindles. Therefore, it can almost meet most railing systems.

Got this to hang a bird feeder for my cat. Works well for my porch railing. Sturdy, easy set-up, hasn't left any marks on the railing that I can see. The hanger part is short and low so half the bird feeder is blocked by the railing but it's OK. Just a warning.

This fence hangar is so good, we have bought it three different times. Two for bird feeders and one for a solar decorative light. The hangar is sturdy and easy to install. It fits perfectly on the fence rails and can be adjusted for different widths. The hangars have stayed up and strong through two high wind hurricanes. We like that it matches our black metal fence.

I was so excited when I found this hook to attach to my new deck rails. Unfortunately, it didn’t suit my needs to hold a bird feeder. Please make a longer pole. I enjoy watching the birds eat out my window and this 17†pole put the feeder below the railing.

Purchased this deck hook for family members that reside in an assisted living facility. One of them is in a wheelchair so we had to place the hook so that the feeder hangs on the inside of the balcony for optimal viewing. At first they were skeptical that the birds would come to the feeder since they are on the 3rd floor and because of where I hung it. We started with a finch sock and it took a bit but the birds came so we moved that feeder and hung a seed feeder in its place. The birds are coming to the feeder like crazy and this has added joy to their lives seeing the birds come to the feeder on their balcony. This hook is well made and was easy to install. It does exactly what it aims to do. My only wish is that it was a little longer so that the feeder would hang a little higher and then we could hang it on the outside of the balcony. That is not the hook's fault but rather the parameters of our particular situation.

My neighbor gave me a lovely deck lantern so I purchased this deck hook to hang the lantern from the rails of my deck poles. This set up is perfect and I like that the set came with short and long screws/bolts to accommodate different size deck rail posts. This deck hook rail is perfect for what I needed. It stays in place and doesn't slide out of place once you set it up. Very pleased with this purchase.

I used these hooks on my iron fencing to hang my bird feeders, I wanted hooks that would not cause any damage. We have had some really strong winds here over the past few months and the hooks and feeders remained put. They are really well made and strong and they were incredibly easy to install, no tools necessary!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I am not one to write reviews but am so excited with this deck hook that I had to submit a review! Traditional hook systems do not work with my new metal deck railing and balusters. This does! It arrived so fast, was packaged with care and I installed it within 5 minutes. I had found one just like it for twice the price; this is affordable and looks very nice. Now I have a simple, easy and affordable way to hang bird feeders, planters, and lanterns. I plan to buy a few for the deck at my cabin.

Pretty and it's strong and the clamp looks clean and they offer two lengths of screws for different width pickets. I use it as a bird feeder pole so I just wish it projected higher to clear the railing to see the birds better. Will have to get a smaller feeder for this pole

Bought two of these hangers for our lanterns. Great hangers except one of the brackets square holes was not in align with the other. Out came my drill and file to fix the screwup from their factory floor.They work great with the spacing on our balcony railings.
