A cool item! It looks very real. Light weight. The "pages" are not real paper (which can be found in some other book safes), but you'd have to be looking at the book closer than maybe five feet to notice. PS-This has the largest safe size I could find in a book safe.

My daughter loved this gift. It didn't come with instructions, but my son figured it out.After we knew how to set the combination, she was thrilled with it. It has a nice big open area.My thing is that if you think it is going to blend in on your shelf you would need to have it with wide/thick books. It stands out on her shelf as most of her books are 1 inch or less in thickness.The cover was nice and she was very pleased with it.
