Pros:- good value for your money- quality almost as good as any other top brandsCons:- size varies, so you may not get identical pieces- not as dense as Danielson ones (hardiness and flotation wise)Overall - great value. $18 for two vs $22 for one Danielson buoy. If you are looking for a couple of crabbing season worth, I would highly recommend this product. Although seller claims this product is made of high density closed-cell foam, it is a lighter than Danielson buoys and not as dense, thus gets under the swell a lot easier. Still, good product and works just fine.

I'm a commercial diver, shell harvester. I tie a bag to a line near the float end, hook another float line to the first float, and make my dive. I'll tie the first float line to the full sack, pull the float down, grab the bag I tied there earlier, unclasp the other float line, attach it to my belt, and I'm on my way again. Fill sack 2 and float it. Get back to boat, and go pick up floats/sacks. Makes my time more efficient.I have an old set of these floats I have used for decades. They have lost their color, are hard to spot, but they still work darn it. I bought these to use as deeper water floats, as my old ones are used mostly in ~20-30'. When I go deeper I need longer lines, so I have 2 new float lines ready to go.I'd give them 10 stars if I could, but 5 will have to do.

like I did you should know that the holes aren't 1 inch, more like 3/4 and even if you use 3/4 inch pvc you'll still have to ream the ends. I bought these and still wanted 1 inch pvc. You can buy an extended drill bit to bore the holes out to 1 inch. I bored mine out with a hand drill intended for making cooking stoves out of logs while camping. Live and learn. Good luck, have fun!

I use to mark some posts that are under water. They survive a winter freeze in the lake.

The floats do float. Success. They do have a half inch hole that runs down the center. Success. But the outside diameter varies. There is a slim taper and the variances are not uniform or similar to the pair. No problem if you use the as a crab buoy. I am making kayak outriggers and wanted a streamline uniform appearance. Not expected but totally okay. Some filler and glue fixes all.

These are awesome size. Will be easy to see in the water. I plan to use them as anchor markers so people will stay away from my anchor when setting their own hopefully. Let’s others in the anchorage know where your anchor is positioned.
