Disclaimer: I wound up returning this product as the pump on my dehumidifier was not working and thus could not use it.Bought this to attach to my de-humidifier so we wouldn't have to manually empty the tank every day. The hose is flexible and seems pretty sturdy. The brass connection is made well, without burrs or rough edges. I did not use the PTFE tape, but it's included with the hose and looked usable.

Poor quality material. Leaked even when I used real plumbers tape. Plumbers tape it came with was very bad.

The description states this is Nickel-plated Brass. It is actually Nickel-plated steel, NOT brass. It WILL rust. A magnet sticks to this because it is steel, magnets do not stick to brass. The item will work as intended, I may or may not return it, not sure. The sellers' supplier may have made a change without telling them.
