I bought the Inspiron laptop 15 because of the price point. Then I needed a dock to use it as workstation in my home office. I bought a non-dell and was disappointed as the HDMI failed after a couple of weeks. No problem with this product so far. I think I’ve been using this now for about 3 weeks. So good so far. I regret not having a USBC to dock with on the Inspiron but I’ll live it.

Ok, had I read deeper I know it doesn't provide power like typical docking station. I'm disappointed, but it gives enough juice to all my assorted gizmology to make up for it.The bad- doesn't charge the laptop. You need a second cable.The good- more than plenty of power for a keyboard, mouse, gamer headset with no lag time. And my stuff doesn't beep all the time. And when I use the headset I don't sound like a cylon from time to time.Would I buy it again? Yes, I'm love saving and the price is right/power is there. But again, it doesn't charge the laptop

Has sufficient ports. All I did was swap the docking cable to a USBC style and it's great.

Returned for multiple issues, two of which indicate heat damage.1. Item was listed (and still is) as "Model Year 2019.Unit I received was manufactured in 2016 (bottom-right corner of the Dell .2. front power indicator light was very dim. I estimate the LED's brightness to be around 50%, based upon the same Dell D3100 docking stations used in our office. Dim LED indicates heat damage and/or age.3. the top of the case had been SANDED FLAT in an attempt to hide warping of the case, although the two top-rear corners still had the original texture where it was obvious the top had previously warped due to excessive heat (heat damage).Sorry, but sanding to remove prior damage is not exactly what I would call "renewed". Truly disappointing.

Not only did I find the docking station on Amazon but the price was reasonable and it was delivered in two days!! It was shipped from the US but still two days!!
