About this item

  • Durable Material: ABS body, nickel-plated head and keys, more suitable for beginners to practice for a long time.
  • Piccolo Features: C key. The length of the piccolo is half that of flute, and the pitch is one octave higher than flute. The piccolo has a sharper tone and strong penetration.
  • Rigorous Structure: closed-hole keys are more suitable for beginners, ensuring that all fingers are covered to avoid inaccurate notes. Leather pads-double-layer casings are used, which are highly closed and not easily deformed after long-term use. High-quality cork has good elasticity and strong airtightness.
  • Comfortable Feel: The keys are round, rebounding quickly, and the response is sensitive. The E key split makes you feel comfortable when playing.
  • Package Contents: one piccolo, a case with a handle, and a cleaning cloth.

I am a beginning piccolo learner but have played many other instruments including flute. I decided to give piccolo a try but did not want to break the bank to try. If I get good, yes I will get a quality semi-pro instrument, but I was pleasantly surrised by the quality here! The keys seem to seal well and have good resistance and spring-back. The mouthpiece fits snug and stays in position where aligned. The machining seems quality for the category, it seems a bit more piccolo than the price category actually. For a beginning piccolo this is a winner in my book. But if you can find a piccolo teacher or pro in these reviews, take their advice. As for me at the level I'm at, with exposure and experience on flute (and clarinet and oboe among other instruments), I consider this definitely recommended for the price point.

The C key is quite high-pitched for a piccolo, so I'll have to wear earplugs. But for someone who is just learning, I think this is a nice beginner piccolo.
