Your cart is empty.Delphi's mechanical fuel pumps, which work with older-model carbureted systems, deliver fuel flow to the engine. It sits at the front-lower portion of the motor and the pumps are lever-operated. An internal diaphragm draws fuel from the tank through lines running the length of the vehicle and pushes the fuel into the carburetor.

Garbage. My old fuel pump diaphragm ruptured and was leaking fuel into the oil, parked my jeep for awhile and bought this pump since I live far from a auto parts store. Finally got around to installing it AFTER a fresh synthetic oil change and it lasted a whopping 20 miles and died when I started it the next morning. I am EXTREMELY lucky the lever didn't break and fall in the pan. Bought a Precision pump instead and no problems at all. Very lucky this is not my daily driver. If you rely on your vehicle DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK, it's not worth the potential damage and frustration. Spend the extra $20 and don't risk it.

I'm on my 3rd one of these. They have all failed one way or another within 30 miles of being put on my jeep. Two started leaking and the other stopped pumping fuel leaving me stranded.

Identical to the OEM fuel pump that I replaced.

This fuel pump was supposed to fit a 1978 AMC 258. It will not bolt into the engine despite looking similar to the original part. I think maybe the arm is angled slightly wrong. It also felt frozen up and doesn't move freely like the old unit. Too bad i waited to install it and now I'm past the return period. Save your time, its junk.

The pump fit perfectly and doesn’t leak. I have a Jeep CJ7 with a 4.2 inline 6 using a Weber 38 carb. To use this pump with a carburetor you must have a pressure regulator. I installed a fuel pressure gauge too and without the regulator the pressure wound the 15psi gauge all the way around to the zero stop peg. I’ve got it set at 4psi now and it runs great.

Pump over fuels without use of a regulator. And it only lasted about 150 miles before it quit pumping fuel.

Looked good, fitted fine, ran fine for 12 miles. Then stopped. Dead.No leak through the weeper hole, so I assume it is not the diaphragm. Presumably one of the valves is stuck. At least it is not a big job to take off and fit a new one.... (once you have been towed home...)79 CJ7 258

Seems to be a well build unit as advertised. Fit was right on. Came with two gaskets

This pump diaphragm is failing because of ethanol in your fuel. More than 15% ethanol at the pump is the killer.
