The mixing board is an easy 5-star rating, especially given the price. I will make some comparisons to my last mixing board, a Yamaha MG10XU, a more expensive mixer.FIRST THE BAD:The MP3 player and Bluetooth functions can't be taken seriously and you should consider the board for it's function without these features.Perhaps the Bluetooth function can be used in-studio in a pinch, if one lacks the proper cables/adapter to listen to a Bluethtooth capable device, but in no way should it be considered for live use, not even a close friend's private party. The function introduces pops and clicks and unwanted noises that are impossible to ignore. The MP3 player couldn't be more of a disaster, both in intended use configuration and performance. Just see this section of the board as a decoration. You DO need an outside source to play MP3 files adequately. The built-in effects are "better than nothing" let's say. They should be considered as backup for a show in case your effects unit fails or someone forgets a cable, etc. That being said, one could learn them and ride the effects, song to song, section-to-section and get a pretty good live production, but nothing like having an effects unit and a patch preprogrammed for every song - matching the BPM, etc.I'm not going to even attempt connecting this to my computer to use as an interface as I reckon it would be a waist of time. Maybe I'm wrong. Read other reviews regarding using it as an audio interface. The knobs lack mass, are a little small and have a bit of a cheapness to them. I miss the knobs on my former mixer and other Mackie brand mixers I've had in the past.THE GOOD:The board sounds fantastic! Can't hear a bit of noise nor coloration of the sound. The Headphone Out also has a robust signal, unlike the 'thinned out' sound of the Yamaha MG10XU headphone out. All the sliders and knobs are clean sounding when adjusting levels, etc. The board is intuitive and easy to mix on.It doesn't heat up whatsoever after hours of use, unlike the Yamaha MG10XU, which used to worry me, how hot it would get, especially for having an external power supply. It's very sturdy and well made - better made than the pictures reveal.Whether good or bad, it's pretty big for a 12 channel board. There are no stereo channels, just 12 mono inputs. Every channel has a mic input and line input AND phantom power, truly making it more flexible in possible uses. This board is actually WELL suited to mix a large choir or even orchestra for live performance, though some may wince at this claim. (I could and get a great mix and sound.) So, if you are trying to impress, the large footprint is good, but if your desktop space is limited, this can't be considered a compact 12-channel board like the Yamaha MG10XU.Keeping in mind my above negative comments, I DO recommend the board and I would buy it again, if I had a free do-over. If you are a beginner or on a tight budget, like me, it's an excellent choice. When you are better financed you can buy a more expensive board if you think you need it and have this as a backup. Redundancy IS good!

I bought this mixer to support live streaming in a high school environment. I typically configure this mixer for a stereo pair to one or more groups including concert band, jazz band, and choir. I chose this mixer for two reasons, it's inexpensive and it has 48+ phantom power for condenser microphones. I output from XLR to USB to OBS on a laptop. I also use the aux send when there is a house PA system. This allows me to capture announcements as well as performances. My biggest concern was sound quality. When configured properly, the channels are clean. There's not much headroom (volume level above nominal without distortion) on these pre-amps but I would expect that from a mixer at this price range. When I first started using the mixer, channel 7 and 8 have noise when using the slider. That issue has resolved itself as the channels are quiet now.The power supply connection is not standard. It has a three pin connector with a screw on type outer lock. The transformer is inline like a laptop. I think this is done to keep the profile short. The advantage is that it won't fall out if accidentally pulled. However, the disadvantage is if it breaks or fails, getting a replacement may be more difficult than usual. The mixer arrived undamaged and with an instruction book. The book is a tough read so I don't recommend it for beginners. Don't buy the mixer for the built-in effects because they are cheesy. Reminds me of the old "bucket brigade" effects devices (Google it).The USB connection and Bluetooth is input/play only and won't send output to a computer/DAW, etc.The channel EQs are unforgiving when using additive DB. I could only get up to +3 before the sound started distorting in that EQ range. Subtractive EQ was fine (going to minus DB).Overall, a good value for mixer. I wouldn't recommend this mixer beyond a PA or stream device. Upgrade to something better for recording or live music.

I wanted a mixer and interface combine and I had no idea that the usb onbard was the interface. I was looking for the interface usb to be on the back. But technology is moving so fast and I went thru several Mixers and I really fell in love with the Baringer mixer-Usb interface but the drivers wouldnt load and therefore I couldnt use it for Zoom or record. So I realize I never had any problems with the Despuseng Interface and Ilow and behild I saw this Dx8 despuseng Mixer and I started tinkering with it and it just blows you you away once you figure what jin put jacks are balance or unbalanced and I tell you it has made my year. I just wish that it had Mute buttons for the input becasue alot of people start snoring when online and the Zoom app picks up everything when it inOriginal audio. I tried the P-12 Despuseng but the jack would not allow certain devices to play because they are unbalanced and i didn't want to buy more unbalanced cables/ I try to stay awy from the unbalanced cables due to noise. Plus it would not allow me to get the gain that the DX8 Despuseng did and its supposed to be a better Mixer but I sent that puppy back until I can really find the one I want with the same Jack setup. If you get the DX8,You will be satisfied once you learn what each jack and knob does. The Mic setup is easy and I have played with this thing everynight for a week and Im sold. God Bless America but the Chinese are on the ball with techology.

Funcionamiento sencillo y simple. Aunque los plasticos de alguna perilla se sienten como plastico de juguete el funcionamiento es muy estable y el sonido es muy bueno para voz que lo unico que necesito.

I bought at only about US$80. For this price it's a feature packed unit. It can use Bluetooth device as input. And connect to PC through USB port. The PC will see the unit as an audio speaker device. Then any audio output will go to mixer. You can easily setup a Youtube-based Karaoke video sing along system with this unit.
