I don't know if it was a defective unit or if there was a problem in my cabling, however, the power supply I received introduced a loud hum into the audio channel on my mixer that I plugged this into. Returned it to Amazon for a refund and used the 24V phantom power from my mixer - which had no hum for that channel.

The power supply worked fine for my application (recording vocals through a condenser microphone) but I did notice some noise being generated by the device. And the electrical cord is so short I had to move my recording setup closer to the power source ... as adding an extension cord adds to the noise. the The noise level was low enough so that it wasn’t evident during the actual recording but if you’re looking for a squeaky clean signal, you might want to spend more.

Running from microphone to mixing board with unshielded cat5 cable, I needed phantom power at the microphone. It worked fantastic.

phantom power for microphone. nicely packaged included all cables. seems to have excessive RF line noise which may interfere with final product or need additional filter
