Used to prime a rebuilt engine on a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. I connected small 12V gear pump to the adapter and pumped the oil into the engine. I worked great for this application and it was easier to prime the engine this way than it was to connect a tee to the oil pressure switch.

Great appearance, fit and function. I'm using it on a 333 SBF stroker to plumb out to an external filter and cooler. Zero leaks, easy install, clean attractive appearance and a really low price considering. Unless you're in need of a sandwich-type cooler bypass adapter (I prefer in-line external thermostat bypasses personally over the sandwich style), this is your adapter.

Well made, in America. 2000 track miles and 15000 street miles in my 170hp 4age powered AW11. Going strong.I recommend sealant between the retaining nut and housing for minimized bypass leakage.

Just had to take this back off my truck today as the "O-ring" has hardened and flattened out to thepoint it was leaking oil pretty bad.Upon removal, I discovered the steel threaded insert pressed intothe aluminum body was loose! This caused the adapter to keep loosening up and allowing oil tobypass the filter and return to the engine.Very dissapointed in the quality of the product.The insert needs to be staked better and possibly pinned into the body to have any type of reliableservice.Also the o ring is of inferior quality and really should last the life of the vehicle.I will have to modify the unit myself before I can trust it back on my vehicle.I was lucky it failed at home and not outon the road somewhere.It needs a good aviation material type o ring to be able to last.Do not install this on your vehicle and expect it to be reliable!It WILL fail on you!I do know a bit about about materials and processes being a transport aviation mechanic for 30 yearsCaveat Emptor !

Good product and good support from Derale, The nut that holds this to the block is index-able and allows clocking adjustments (6) for proper hose alignment..

Put this on a Harley Road King. Works perfectly so far and doesn't leak.
